OT- Cammalleris projected stats (fantasy impact)

I'm picking 2nd overall, in the second year of a 4 year, 12 team keeper league. You get to keep 3 forwards, a D, and a goalie.

My keepers are:
Joe Thornton, Thomas Vanek, Phil Kessel, Chris Pronger, and Evgeni Nabokov

The cats we are trying to fill are: Goals, assists, points, game winning goals, powerplay points, +/-, and PIMs.

Of the guys who are not being kept, Henrik Sedin is my top rated player available with my projected stats for him being:

Henrik Sedin
20g, 60a, 80p, 55pim, 3gwg, 30ppp, +15

If he's not there at 2, these are the guys I'm considering who could be available and my projected stats for them:

Patrick Kane
30g, 50a, 80p, 45pim, 4gwg, 35ppp 0
Mike Cammaleri
35g, 40a, 75p, 40pim, 5gwg, 35ppp, 0
Mike Ribiero
25g, 55a, 80p, 40pim, 3gwg, 30ppp, +5
Bobby Ryan
35g, 35a, 70p, 50pim, 3gwg, 30ppp, +10
Brad Boyes
35g, 40a, 75p, 25pim, 10gwg, 35ppp -10
Mikko Koivu
25g, 45a, 70p, 60pim, 3gwg, 30ppp, +10
Martin Havlat
30g, 45a, 75p, 25pim, 4gwg, 25ppp, +15
Devin Setoguchi
30g, 40a, 70p, 30pim, 4gwg, 30ppp, +10
Danial Alfredson
25g, 50a, 75p, 35pim, 5gwg, 30ppp, +10
Patrick Marleau
35g, 35a, 70p, 30pim, 5gwg, 25ppp, +10
Anze Kopitar
30g, 45a, 75p, 25pim, 3gwg, 30ppp, -10
Paul Stastny
25g, 45a, 70p, 30pim, 4gwg, 25ppp -5

Two of Kane, Kopitar, Boyes, and Stastny are going to be kept. As well as one of Marleau and Ryan. I'm guessing Ryan, Kane and Kopitar are kept

My questions are, if henrik is taken, and Kane is kept, would I be reaching for Cammalleri at 2?

And what are your projected stats for him?

I think Cam could get those kind of points. He'll be on much of our powerplay as it is his specialty and we need help in that area. Overall, though, I think that was a lot of money to spend on him.

I think Cam can be in between 75 and 85 points.

Also can you put Kessel on IR or something?

Cammy should get more points this year than last. He will have a better supporting cast around him and far less confusion over his role for his team. He will be the go to guy and that will seem him shine. Sleeper pick for not only 40 goals but pushing some bigger names for tops in the east for points.

Expect a drop in production from last year. As much as most Habs fans on here will expect a lot having never really seen him play much, I wouldn't. I think around 70 points.

You should've dropped Kessel. He is missing the first month of the season and he is barely a 60 points player.

I agree. He has the potential to get more points, but for some reasons, it's always harder to score in Montreal. Think a Kovalev's type production in his case...(anywhere between 65 and 85 points)

I think Cammalleri is a fantasy gamble. He could very well end up playing on our second line with Plekanec and who knows how things will turn out. Plus everybody around here seems to expect us to have a top 5 PP but with a new coaching staff and us being small up front it remains to be seen how good we'll be with a man advantage. People underrate how big of a loss Kovalev is to a PP. When he's on his game there might not be a forward who's more dangerous in the entire league.

Anyway Cammalleri could have a great year for us yet finish with 60-65 pts.

If the team chemistry is good, our PP will be fine. Kovalev, IMO, was great to have when nothing was working with the other players. What I mean is that he was able to do it all by himself. The only thing is that at some point, he was not always able to do what he wanted because the other teams knew his pattern.

With Markov and Spacek on the point, and the talented group of forwards we have, I think we'll be just fine.

Kane and Kopitar are better choices. Both are young, getting better and on teams that are getting stronger and stronger. Those are the only two I would take over Cam at this point. Stastny is great but he is on a terrible team. Ryan is also a good choice. I believe everyone else has peaked. I think Cammalleri will just get similar stats and not really improve, but those are really strong stats. LW tends to be a really weak position too fantasy wise. After Ovechkin and Kovalchuk there is a drop to Nash and then another drop to the Gagnes, Cammalleris and Vaneks of the world.

I really don't care about Cammy's point production, I just want him to score....he could manage to get 60 points, but if he hits 40 goals I'll be ****ing happy.

I really think Cammy could get between 75-85 points. Depends how he can click with his linemates, IMO. I do think if he and Gomez create some very good chemistry earlier, that Cammy could be a force this year with 40 goals and 80 points.
