Atlanta only had 8 goals less than Pittsburgh and some have Pittsburgh as the top 1 or 2 for some reason when they weren't even in the top 5 in goals for last year.
Do you know what it is? It's the average production for those players since the lock-out (portions of 82 games). Potentially 7-9 forwards over 35 Pts, and 4 of them over 70 Pts...
what 1 line for the past few seasons and some offseason moves qualifies as offense?
They have some pretty decent players beyond those three. However, how does it make sense to not vote for the Sens because they rely on three players on one line, but it makes sense to vote for Pittsburgh despite the fact that they rely on two centers (three maybe)?
Pittsburgh has the top end talent, but Philly's offensive depth is virtually unmatched league wide. Vote goes to Philly for the depth, but it really is a coin-toss.
I'm just suggesting the add, there are plenty of better offensive teams out there. The notion of the top three on the Sens has been completely blown out of proportion. They are far from being the only productive players on the team. Besides, the addition of Kovalev and the progression of the likes of Foligno, Regin and Spezza should be taken into account.
Without being a homer... I mean, come on, the Ducks aren't in there while Vancouver and Atlanta are? In terms of top 6 forwards, the Ducks are maybe as good as any team.
Ryan - Getzlaf - Perry
Lupul - Koivu - Selanne
That's quite a top six. The depth isn't great, but guys like Christensen and Ebbett brings some depth in terms of offence while Niedermayer and Whitney brings offence from the back end.

both atlanta and vancouver scored more than anaheim last season
I voted Detroit, the team that scored more than 20 more goals than any other team in the league last season. I don't think loosing Hossa is going to subtract 20 goals.
I based that on the teams overall ability to produce offence. Detroit and Philly are really close. Chicago has players like Hossa, Toews, Versteeg, and Sharp who are strong two way forwards. This is a team that will maintain possession and score.

Jeff Carter = 46 Goals - 84 Pts
Mike Richards = 30 Goals - 80 Pts
Simon Gagne = 34 Goals - 74 Pts
Scott Hartnell = 30 Goals - 60 Pts
Kimmo Timmonen = 43 Pts
Claude Giroux = 27 Pts in 42 Games
Chris Pronger = 48 Pts
Daniel Briere = 25 Pts in 29 Games (like 71 Pts in 82 Games)
Expect better numbers from everyone (especially Giroux) this year, Gagne will have about the same output.
That being said, I think Chicago's offense is No.2
