Legit/longstanding Hollywood marriages
Okay Hollywood is full of celebrities like Larry King, Liz Taylor, Joan Collins, J-Lo, Trump, Christie Brinkley, etc. People who collect marriages like their going out of style. Larry King has as many rings as Phil Jackson or Henri Richard or Yogi Berra. But we aren't talking about championship rings in sports either. But on a positive note, what are the genuine Hollywood marriages? Ones that lasted a long time. Marriages that the couple seems to love each other more than their fame.
Denzel Washington and ????????? - I'm sorry I know I could Google it but I don't even know Denzel's wife's name. Maybe that's a good thing. She isn't famous and she is never drunk and stumbling around or plastered on People magazine. That being said I've seen interviews where Denzel says his wife is a "Godly woman" and basically the backbone of his family. Wow. I'm sure it helps that he keeps out of the public eye as well.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett - I don't like a lot of Smith's movies. His best work was on Fresh Prince IMO. And while this is his 2nd marriage, its fair to say that him and Jada DO love each other. Think about it, she's doing nothing nowadays and he's a huge star. That could cause conflict for some, but I guess not them.
Billy Crystal and ?????????? - Again I forget his wife's name. But they've been married since 1970 and I've heard nothing but good things about them that way
Faith Hill and Tim McGraw - Who wouldn't want to be married to Faith? That being said they've always seemed like a happy couple to me and you get the feeling that they keep a happy home
Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward - Married in 1952 all the way until Paul's death. That is some serious shelf life, 55+ years. Paul once said that he'd never cheat on his wife because "why would I go out for a cheeseburger when I have a steak at home?" Not bad considering a billion women would love the chance.
Johnny Cash and June Carter - I know Cash could best be described as a cheating ******* with his first wife, but he made a transformation when he married June and it lasted 35 years until 2003 when they both died.
Paul and Linda McCartney - Married in 1967 all the way to her death in '98. The famous line is that in 30 years of marriage he only spent one night away from her. Not bad. Another reason to think of Heather Mills as a gold digging scoundrel!
By the way on the political front I think most of the recent Presidents (Ford, Carter, Regan, Bush, Bush Jr. and Obama) seem to have/had happy marriages. I left Clinton out purposely and you can imagine why.
