Yes, let's follow them. Add who ever important players you think should be here, or talents who play abroad.
Ole-Kristian Tollefsen(Philadelphia Flyers - NHL) - Hopefully he could crack the lineup with the Flyers this season. Struggled with some injures in the knee and neck. But is now back for fight.
Patrick Thoresen(Salavat Julajev - Russia) - Played for Lugano in Switzerland last season. Scored 63 points in 48 games(22+41), that was third place in the scoring title race. Transfered to Russia during the summer. According to norwegian media, the coach(Bykov) has said he wants Thoresen to complete either the first or second line on that team. Media speculation is that Thoresen would be on line with Aleksander Radulov and Andreas Johansson
Tore Vikingstad(Hannover Scorpions - Germany) - Scored 49 points(13+36) in 43 games last season. Expected to keep that pace.
Jonas Holös(Färjestad BK - Sweden) - Became swedish league champion last season. Scored 16 points(8+8) in 55 games as an defensive defenseman. Scored 6 points in 13 playoffgames, contributing to winning the title. Expected to get even better this year. Colorado-draft pick.
Mats Zuccarello Aasen(Modo - Sweden) - Scored 40 points(12+28) in 35 games in his rookie season in Sweden. Though a lousy team defence and goalies made them miss the playoffs(and injuries+management). Zuccarello also missed 20 games with two different foot injuries. Expected to also this season light it up with Skröder and Sundström.
Per-Åge Skröder(Modo - Sweden) - Scored 59 points(30+29) in 55 games in Modo last season. With that he won the scoring title. Expected to continue the superline with Zuccarello and Sundström.
Mats Trygg(Kölner Haie - Germany) - Kept his solid play up for them last year. 24 points in 51 games. He will hopefully be a little bit better this season. The 33 year old is problably the most solid norwegian player.
Morten Ask(Nürnberg Ice Tigers - Germany) - 35 points(11+24) for EV Duisburg last season. New team, new chances. Maybe we could see him going over 40 points?
Mathis Olimb(Frölunda - Sweden) - Scored 41 points(13+28) in 43 games with Augsburger Panther in Germany last season. Now, transfered to swedish side Frölunda. Hopefully a solid player for them. Winger.
Martin Röymark(Frölunda - Sweden) - Scored 46 points(14+32) in 42 games for norwegian side Sparta Sarpsborg last season. Think he won the norwegian hockey players Ironman contest(Best trained). Rookie season outside Norway this year. Expect hard work from this one. Center.
Kristian Forsberg(Modo - Sweden) - Played 45 games and scored 16 points(6+10) for Storhamar Dragons in Norway last year. Mainly a shutdown winger/energy forward type of player. Playing on one of the bottom lines in Modo this season.
Alexander Bonsaksen(Modo - Sweden) - Defensive defenseman, scored 14 points(3+11) in 45 games last season for norwegian club Vålerenga who eventually won the norwegian championship. 2rd or 3rd pairing in Modo?
Stefan Espeland(Modo - Sweden) - Played in the junior leagues in Sweden until now. First for Linköping J18 and the Modo J20(SuperElit). Looks to be the most offensive defenseman coming from the juniors. Both most goals and points of d-men there last season(8+23 for 31 points). Also got 15 games for Modo senior(A-team) last season. Not sure where he ranks in Modos d-men.
2008-2009:
J20 SuperElit (North|Spring) Best Plus/Minus (+14)
J20 SuperElit (North|Spring) Most Assists by Defenseman (11)
J20 SuperElit (North|Spring) Most Points by Defenseman (16)
J20 SuperElit (North|Spring) Best Plus/Minus 08/09
J20 SuperElit (North|Spring) Most Assists by Defenseman 08/09
J20 SuperElit (North|Spring) Most Points by Defenseman 08/09
Anders Bastiansen(Färjestad BK - Sweden) - Won the swedish league championship last year. Scored 32 points(10+22) in 54 games in his first year with Färjestad. Big player. 10 points(2+8) in 13 playoff-games. Problably up for similar pace this year for the "veteran" at age 28. Center.
Marius Holtet(Färjestad BK - Sweden) - Energic grinder with 8 points(3+5) in 49 games for league champions Färjestad last season. Hopefully he can put up som more points on the board. But he is still a good grinder with lots of energy on third/fourth line. Winger.
Martin Laumann Ylven(Linköping - Sweden) - Played 55 games for them last year on the fourth line. Made two points for it. Played juniors or out on loan in the four years before that. Not sure where he stand with them this season. Still just 20 years old. Winger.
Mads Hansen(Brynäs - Sweden) - 22 points(14+8) in 52 games for them last year. The 30 year old has a solid role there, and most likely we will se the same type of numbers this season. Center.
Andreas Martinsen(Leksand - Sweden) - In 2007/2008 he was the most penalized player at age 17 in the norwegian league. 114 mins, next on the list had 68 mins. Last season he scored 23 points(8+15) in 43 games for Lillehammer IK in Norway. Down to 98 penalty mins. This season he is going to play for Allsvenskan team Leksand. Not sure where they rate the 19 year old, but he is talented. Winger.
André Lysenstøen(HeKi - Finland2) - A young goalie(6'4") playing for second level HeKi in Finland this upcoming season. Had 32 games 2.62 avg and .906% for Stavanger in Norway last season. Hopefully coming to Finland he could improve alot.
Ruben Smith(Storhamar - Norway) - The other good young goalie from Norway. Was MVP of the playoffs in Norway the season before last season. Not that big goalie(6'0") but makes good performances every season.
06/07 - 21GP, 2.23 avg, .911%
07/08 - 27GP, 2.14 avg, .911% (.940 something in the playoffs, made him MVP)
08/09 - 33GP, 2.34 avg, .922% (much younger and worse defence this year)
Scott Winkler(Colorado College - USA) - A 3rd round Dallas Stars draft-pick(2008). Played for Cedar Rapids Roughriders last year(USHL), scoring 36 points(10+26) in 55 games. Hopefully he continues to develop. 19 years old.
Took one extra goalie with.
Ok, some players in Norway:
Mathias Trygg(Vålerenga) - Younger brother of Mats & Marius Trygg. 23 years old 30 points(11+19) in 33 games for them last year. Looks to be a just under a point pr. game player. Stable, maybe going abroad after this season?
Patrick André Bovim(Frisk-Asker) - Defenseman, have played for HV-71 J20 before(6+22 in 34 games). 16 assists in 34 games for Frisk last season. 21 years old, 5'9".
Jonas Djupvik Løvlie(Sparta Sarpsborg) - Forward, played for Manglerud/Star on level 2 last year. Made 65 points(24+41) in 29 games. Just 18 years old.
Henrik Ødegaard(Frisk-Asker) - D-man with 33 games for them last year. Played in World Cup for Norway two years ago, think he was injured last year? 21 years old.
Robin Dahlstrøm(Frisk-Asker) - Winger, 21 years old. Last two years he has made some 30 points in some 40 games for them.
Ken Andre Olimb(Frisk-Asker) - At age 20, already two time norwegian champion with Vålerenga(05/06 and 06/07). Younger brother of Mathis Olimb. Scored 36 points(10+26) in 43 games with Frisk last season.
Lars Løkken Østli(Storhamar) - 22 years old. D-man. Norwegian champion 07/08. Solid at just under 20 points the last three years. Last year only played 28 games, scored 11 goals).
Martin Blakseth Huse(Storhamar) - 20 years old. 19 points in 44 games last season. Norwegian champion 07/08.
Joakim Jensen(Storhamar) - 22 years old. 46 points(24+22) in 45 games last season. 34(15+19) in 40 the year before that(championship year). In the three years before that, he played for Baie-Comeau Drakkar in QMJHL. Played 57-62-65 games and scored 26-58-65 points. Should be an export after this season.

Reason: Got to remember the stars!
vikingstad you mentioned, but mats trygg and morten ask are in germany too and definitely worth mentioning.
mats trygg i expect to rebound from a weaker season and getting something around 30 points, playing a big role for cologne.
morten ask had a good season on a weak team last year and signed with nuremberg, a team that is a bit better. i hope he can establish himself as top6er scoring 30+.
and of course never forget the ultimate norwegian hockey goalie: pal "canada who?" grotnes!
5 points in 5 games so far for Olimb (1+4).. Nice start to the season for him..
Doesn't look like the coaches in Heki has a lot of confidence in Lysenstøen.. He's only played one game so far while the starter, Joonas Kuusela has played 5 games with an 85.1 SV%..
Zuccarello Aasen and Skröder has put up some points since last time.
Patrick Thoresen scored a hattrick today, when his russian team won 6-1 in KHL. He has 11 points in 18 games this season. Not sure what line he is playing in.
Zuccarello Aasen and Thoresen are racking up points at the moment.
Zuccarello Aasen has played 16 games and gotten 8 goals and 12 assists, giving him 20 points and shared third place on the scoring-list in SEL. Though, the team is not doing good in the standings.
Thoresen has played 21 games and gotten 8 goals and 12 assists, giving him 20 points and 12th place on the scoring-list in KHL(10 points in the last 5 games). Ahead of Jaromir Jagr. His team Salavat Julajev is now second in the standings
Zuccarello Aasen with another two goals today. To bad Modo lost the match. Skröder also scored.
Thoresen had an assist in their 3-2 win in russian KHL.
Found an interview the norwegian paper Nettavisen("The Net newspapir") had with Detroit-scout Hakan Andersson last month.
He found three norwegian players he think could make the NHL. Andreas Stene, 18 years old. Not sure where he plays. Sondre Olden(Modo jr), 18 years old.

And...
Mats Zuccarello Aasen(Modo), 22 years old.
Patrick Thoresen also deserved to be in the NHL IMO. Does he have any contact with an NHL team?

It was about players who haven't been there and is young at this time. Though, Thoresen ain't that old. Thoresen should be in the NHL. Don't know if he is in contact with anyone. Maybe still Flyers?
