Voted for Spurgeon. The gap between Katic and Spurgeon is pretty small. Last year, as 19 yo, Team Canada U20 invited Spurgeon to the final camp (for the WJC) not Katic...

I have a feeling the Islanders won't sign Spurgeon by next june unfortunately. Still early but I have that feeling.

Thanks.

And no, what I usually do is take the top 5 guys with the most votes after this poll and call them HM. If I run any more polls, there will be little, if any interest so I stop it right here.

Look at the Poll from 2 years ago and the poll from this year. This team went from pothetic prospect depth to a solid farm system. A couple more years of good drafting and developing and the Isles system may be one of the best.
I am interested to see the organizational rankings of prospects for 2009-2010

Yeah and I can understand the reason. The Isles have to many small defensemen of is type (Ness, DeHaan, Hillen, Donavan, Katic). So they have to make a choice. And since Spurgeon is a 6th rounder they might let him go as a free agent like they did with Simon Lacroix.

Unfortunately like you said!

Wow, tough call between Anders Lee, Dustin Kohn and Kevin Poulin for the final spot. I went with Lee simply because of his size and potential. That said a top-five honorable mention of Kohn, Poulin, Klementyev, Spurgeon and Ridderwall is very solid. Hopefully Ridderwall gets untracked this year, stays healthy and convinces Calle Ridderwall to sign with the Islanders if he keeps progressing at Notre Dame.
