Jack Hillen just signed a one way contract, guaranteeing he will be in the NHL for the next 2 years. Does that make him a better prospect than De Haan?

Point taken, but I feel Smith is farther along in his development than a lot of the guys already picked. He may not have a higher ceiling, but he is a more certain prospect than Cizikas is right now, in my opinion. I mean he has already turned pro, gotten some numbers under his belt playing against men, has shown some promise in the big leagues, to me that makes him a stronger prospect for making the team in the truest definition of the word.

But you're right in that this is a very subjective thing. Some people vote on who they think will be the best player, some vote on who's game they like over the other, and others vote because they like this guy's name or because of his draft position.
