****Official New Jerseys Thread**** (Post ALL jersey information here!!)
well with some jersey's being shown on draft day, post here how the new jersey's look, if anyone has them with a link to make it bigger it will be great. So far new jerseys include:
Yo lets use this thread for rating jerseys as well... so here's my thoughts on the jerseys so far....
Washington - 8.5
i think these jersey's are much better!!!!
Columbus - 8.0
So much better than last jersey's, but *** i thoguht there called the blue jackets??? Not the columbus stars, the least they could do is get a blue star like the dallas cowboys then they'll become the colubmus blue strars... and wheres the jacket lol is it the flag coverin the star?
Boston - 6.0
Don't really care much, better than b4 but nothing special
nicee pics, i am loving that Washington Jersey right now... so much better than before.. But one question can anyone comfirm if the sens are just having the white and black jersey?? NO RED?????
i mean lmfao why call it the Redzone, or Rev up the Red, if theres hardly any red, i liked the red jersey's.. Anywa's can't wait to see some new jersey's, what are the ones that are getting new logo's? Other than Washington, & Columbus. ??

They are called Blue Jackets after being Union soldiers in the civil war... Hence the civil war hat on the shoulder patches...
"Ohio's central position and its population gave it an important place during the Civil War, and the Ohio River was a vital artery for troop and supply movements, as were Ohio's railroads. At the End of the Civil War the three top Union generals were all from Ohio, Grant, Sherman, and Sheridan. Ohio also contributed more soldiers per-capita than any other state in the Union"
Heh... so EA slipped and leaked the Carolina jerseys. Not sure how I feel about the white line around the shoulder, but it looks fine enough. At least they didn't screw it up.
I had heard August 15th as one of the rumored days where the majority of jerseys will be unveiled. It would make sense as it would give about a month of sales leading into training camp. However, I have a feeling some of these jerseys will be so subtly changed that there won't be a spike in sales.
SO if those are indeed right, all Carolina did was add the white line around the shoulders? Talk about changing a jersey design for the sake of changing it.

Apparently EA didn't screw up. This was intended if you read EA's site above those pictures, it says that check the site daily to see the RBK jerseys.
I don't have a scanner, but if anyone has seen the Verizon Wireless ad that has run in Sports Illustrated lately, it seems that it shows New Jersey's new jerseys.
Edit: bcrt2000 seems to be right about the Devils jerseys, except the comparison between the ad and the practice jersey on nhl.com is subtly different. In the ad the arm stripes are black, whereas the practice jersey they are white. However, I'm guessing its just a variation on the practice jersey. Though, if a major change was going to happen those practice jerseys for the Devils are sharp.

I'm going to post all the jersey info I know for each division. This is stuff thats been confirmed or seen in print, and not based on any of that fantasy fake stuff.
EASTERN
ATLANTIC
* NEW JERSEY
- No confirmed information yet. Someone claims Verizon Wireless is running ads in SI which show their new jerseys, but those were just practice jerseys
* PITTSBURGH
- No information.
* NY ISLANDERS
- Pictures of prototypes leaked:
- Notice that on the far left there is the current 3rd jersey and a white version of the current third jersey
- The middle jersey has an orange lace while the closest one has a white lace
- One of the hats has "Islanders" in WHITE instead of ORANGE
- Royal blue jersey is in the hangars, and the inaugural jersey is at the bottom right
- Theres a white jersey beside the middle jersey which has some white trim
- All jerseys seem to be Yashin, but the pic is dated May 20th, 2007 according to the jpg info (before he was bought out)
- All of the above leads me to believe these are all prototypes and they haven't decided what the jersey will be, although since the three jerseys that are facing outwards (white and navy jerseys in middle and navy jersey close to camera) are all of the same style, leads me to believe that they are leaning on going with that style.
* NY RANGERS
- Someone close to the organization has reported they would be going to keep the same jerseys, including the neck laces.
* PHILADELPHIA
- Was some rumblings that they might go to the 3D logo but that has been shot down.
NORTHEAST
* BUFFALO
- Recently changed jerseys, likely will remain the same.
* MONTREAL
- No information.
* OTTAWA
- Rumoured to be updating white jersey.
- New logo leaked:
* TORONTO
- Earlier reports said they'd be changing the logo to the '67 one, but that was refuted later in a recent article by Damien Cox.
* BOSTON
- Revealed day before Draft Day:
- Away jerseys have BOSTON in big letters on the shoulder:
- Home jerseys have BRUINS in big letters on the shoulder:
* ATLANTA
- No information.
* TAMPA BAY
- Want to get rid of text on logo, but no official information.
* CAROLINA
- Jersey revealed on EA's NHL08 website:
* WASHINGTON
- Revealed their jerseys officially on Draft Day:
* FLORIDA
- Put a teaser on their site:
WESTERN
CENTRAL
* NASHVILLE
- No information.
* DETROIT
- No information.
* ST LOUIS
- Word is there will be some tweaking to the design.
* CHICAGO
- No information.
* COLUMBUS
- Revealed on Draft Day:
* CALGARY
- confirmed that they are getting rid of the horse head shoulder patch. AHL affiliate revealed their jerseys which might be a hint to as what tweaks they might make to their own jerseys. NOTE the logo is the AHL afilliate's logo (QC):
* VANCOUVER
- Said to be changing their jerseys to Blue, Green and White. Conflicting reports on whether the Orca will be the logo or not.
* MINNESOTA
- Changing their home jersey to their red 3rd jersey. No word on away jersey, although one would presume it would be a white version of the 3rd.
* COLORADO
- No information.
* EDMONTON
- Replacing their Oilman shoulder patch. Rumours were abound that they were going to have orange in the new jerseys, although it may have been just a mixup with the Oilers wearing their dynasty era jerseys during the Messier retirement ceremony and a few games after that.
PACIFIC
* ANAHEIM
- Just got new jerseys so one would presume they'd remain the same. The "D" is becoming more prominent than the "Ducks" text so they may be making the "D" the primary logo but theres no official word on that.
* SAN JOSE
- Said to be getting new jerseys. Burnt orange (colour of the stick) may be more prominent. Also said that there will be a new shark logo which shows a full shark instead of half of one.
* DALLAS
- There was a textual description of the new jerseys given by a Dallas Stars beat reporter in one of the Dallas newspapers.
Quote:
"From what I've heard, they are very simple and basic. The white one has black striping with green in the letters and the old logo. The black ones have "DALLAS" in a semicircle across the front. Both have numbers on the front (I don't like that much) – the whites with the number on the shoulder and the black with the number underneath the "DALLAS." The striping is traditional around the arms and on the bottom of the sweater." - "Mike Heika" of the Dallas Morning News
- Someone made a conept based off of that:
- Remember, this is a CONCEPT, but its based off a detailed description of the real deal.
* PHOENIX
- No information.
* LOS ANGELES
- Revealed on Draft Day (thanks Belanger22):
