Voilą! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you...
So no Dallas or Detriot... damn, would've preferred to play one of them
Sharks could finish 2nd, 4th, 5th or 6th. Detroit's pretty much locked up 1st, so won't mee them in the first round. But if Dallas gets 4th, Sharks 5th....

I am so spoiled now with this Sharks team... this is by far the deepest lineup in team history. I am afraid I will be really critical of them next season because I will be comparing the Sharks teams to come with ths one.
About the game -
I am definitely in the minority here, but I appreciate what Phaneuf did for the Flames tonight. He was the ****-stirrer to try to throw the Sharks off their game. Yeah, he took some cheap shots but they were not dirty like the Torres hit. Though little did he know that once the Sharks get riled up they play even better than when they're docile, so he actually did San Jose a favor.
Pavelski - man, I fear for his life in a physical playoff series. I had Josh Gorges flashbacks when I saw him get hit tonight and he almost got run over at least a couple of other times. He's needs to make sure to get out of the way sometimes.
Clowe - I thought he was useless at the beginning of the season but he's turned out to be a heart and soul guy for this team. Funny how things work out because I cannot imagine a lineup now without him.
Bell - He had a good game. I have been saying that with much more regularity, and I hope that others realize that he is actually playing at a decent level nowadays. With the way things are going for the team, no one can do any wrong.

Were you at the game? Cause if you were, I don't know what angle you saw Phanuef's hits at, but he had 3 hits tonight that were right in the numbers and slammed the players into the boards, that's what happened to Pavelski. He hit Cheech in the numbers as well. I think Pavelski will be fine, so long as he isn't hit illegally into the boards.
And never underestimate a "Battle of Alberta" game.

There can be back-to-backs in any round. It depends on the opponents and venue conflicts. (How many venues had "Dora the Explorer" conflicts during the post season last year?)

So, set the DVR for Comcast's Sports Rise tomorrow AM (30 minutes, repeated; from ~7am - 9am; Comcast digital 400 here). Sharks games usually get about 2 *minutes* of coverage for the game.
i was there, this game was amazing. but uh im kinda pissed my tivo messed up, i had the ducks sharks game set up to record followed by the sens game in hd and then the calgary game on fsn but some how it messed up and all 3 didnt get recored =(
Of course, they need to carry it over, but I feel pretty good about this.
And unlike last season, we haven't had to play like this starting in December which means the boys shouldn't be burned out by the second round this time.

That's a pretty good program. Nice lengthy recap of the Sharks game rather than seeing Cheech "finishing his hat trick" last night on FSN Final Score.
I find it amazing that this thread has over 500 posts, and the Flames gdt has only 40. That's ridiculous...
Mmmh, maybe there are other / better Flames boards around? I mean, SJSharks.com is so messed up, no one wants to go there . Maybe the Flames homepage has a better board!

flamessuck.com? Although, I don't think they have a message board.
