nah, it's pretty ghetto. windows are barred up, parking lots for legitimate businesses have fences around them, and kids sit at bus stops rolling joints in plain daylight..

it's not that bad, just don't be an idiot and you'll be fine.

I'm sure it's possible. I pulled off all the letters and numbers off an authentic 3rd (black), 2nd gen jersey over a couple nights. Was tedious because the back of the letters were ironed on and stitched. It looked a bit worn after I pulled the letters off. However, it worked out fine after washing and ironing to get the stitched areas back to normal. Then I had Thornton with an A on it then got it signed last year. Looks great but YMMV. Having the shop do it would probably be the safest way.

Place my brother and I got ours lettered was a place called Ducommon's sporting goods, I think on Alum Rock somewhere in SJ. Not sure what the price was, but the lettering was top quality stitched. I think it was recommended to us by someone (another hockey fan friend of his maybe?)

That's where I get my stuff done. I think it was about $80.

In response to the Marleau jersey with a C:

Am I the only one who still sees Marleau as the leader of this team? I don't see "Blake Appreciation Thread" or "JT is god" threads on this forum.

Seems to me Marleau is the leader of the team, whether TM/DW decided to give him a letter or not.

Edit: sorry for hijacking - go with sewn letters, heat-pressed suck if you plan to ever wash the jersey.

Well, I ended up pulling the trigger on a customized third jersey (Marleau with a Captain's C) with stitched letters/numbers. I got the jersey the other day (within about two weeks) and got the best customer service from Hockey X Sport. Definitely stoked on the quality, turnaround time, customer service and especially how the jersey looks! Once again, thanks to all the HF Board members for their help and information regarding my questions about the jersey! I'll be proudly wearing it when the Sharks face the Senators on the first of December
