We learned that during our 9- and 10-game losing streaks. They weren't 9- and 10-game losing streaks, we just didn't win in 9 or 10 games. Apparently with the OTL, it's different.
Good to see Downie get the 2+5+10. That was a clean hit, Neil should not have had to defend himself.
D for Vendetta?

Nah, NHL.com messed up. Look at Toronto's row. They're on a 4 game losing streak and actually lost all of them in OT/SO.
Emery will put up similar numbers this year and request a similar contract to remain a Flyer (in other words, fair compensation for a starting goaltender with above average numbers). Will you hate Razor then, too?

I don't hate Biron -- but if Emery requests (rumoured) one number and get's less than 50% of that number and loses his starting spot for backup, I will post '**** him', too and think it looks good on him. As a guy that makes diddly squat compared to these guys that play sports for a living, I really don't shed tears for them when they don't get their way. They can't relate to me, and vise versa.
While I do invest my time and money in the team, I don't really get THAT attached to the players. Sure I have players I really like (Richards, Pronger, Emery), and there's ones I think less of (Cote, Boucher)...but I cheer for the logo on the sweater rather than get caught up with the names on the back. These guys (99% of them, INCLUDING EMERY) aren't emotionally attached to the logo on the front jersey, rather than the pay-cheque it produces. It's the business of sport, everybody wants to get paid...I respect that.
They come, they go...life goes on.
I take this same approach with the Steelers. I'm a Joey Porter fan -- he was due for a contract, wanted more than they could afford and went to Florida for more money. **** him, see ya. Same thing goes for Burress.

Agreed, but he still got shafted and I think it looks good on him.
I have already met my minimum starts this week and amd winning GAA, SV% and SHO with 1W 1.49 GAA, and .950% and 1 SHO.
my opponent has: 2W, 1.68 GAA and .944%
my goalies tonight are:
Hiller vs PHO
Lunqvist vs Calgary
Thomas vs Buffalo
his are:
Nabokov vs Pit
Bryzgalov vs ANA
Rinne vs LAK
Pavelec vs NYI
Right now he has Nabokov and Bryz on to start tonight. Should I start any of my guys? or just bench and hope he falls further behind
I would bench. You have some pretty sick goalie stats as is. Thomas may not get stellar stats as his injury-crippled team has been playing iffy lately. Lundqvist has a tough opponent (I expect good stats for him tonight though) and I'm not sure what to expect in the Phoenix game.
Nabokov hasn't been playing too well and they're playing one of the most dangerous offensive teams in the league. I really wouldn't count on Nabokov putting up great stats tonight. Bryz could put up great stats against a ****ty Anaheim team or Getzlaf and the like could finally wake up and light up Bryz. I wouldn't be surprised either way.
People just can't over the Biron-hate after he had 2 excellent years and wanted to get paid, borderline unbelievable.
Sure he misread the market and got screwed over, but some of the stuff being said about his "greed" and "gluttony" is just ridiculous. Professional athletes have like a 10-15 year window and then they stop making money, I don't really blame anyone for trying to get as much as they can.
