It's unfair to blame the loss entirely on Price obviously but the guy can't win a game if his life depends on it.

Dude, he was on his knees inside the blue paint on the far side of the net WELL before that cross ice pass on the 4th goal. I'm not going to repeat anything that I've already explained in previous posts. If you can't see the difference, I respectively decline to accept any of your analysis on "authority" of being a goalie.

Hate blaming the goalie, almost as bad as blaming the refs...but, this is starting to piss me off. We're not getting clutch goal tending, and every bloody game there's a soft goal that kills us.

change the title

it was just a couple of back breaking lucky goals that did us in..

i like the fact we have decent forechecking, decent skill and decent speed and can sometimes put up the goals

but without any possible GLIMPSe of any defence, our O is worthless

Some "Habs" fans are just too stupid to see that our defense was horrible so they will blame the guy with pads and mask because its so easy...

Why didn't Price cover Peverley and Armostrong when they're alone in the slot, why can't he predict when a puck is gonna hit a skate or be tipped, why can't stop tic tac toes

Price :

Our defense has to get better. Those who were happy about Gill's injury will have to look things like they are: Carle SUCKS. Bergeron SUCKS.
Exactly. Price was good enough to give us a chance, but he didn't go out and win it for us.

I'd go with Simila next game. Hey he's used to play behind a really poor defensive squad.....

Oh and I forgot, **** Price, **** Lats, **** Bergeron, **** Brunet, **** Houde, **** Youppi.

Exactly. It's embarrassing that the thread title is what it is when it's so obvious who ****ed this game up.

Why does every loss end up in a "Price<<<Halak" or "Price Should Be Sent Down" solution. Wake up! We have the worst D in the league. We suck whether or not goalies play well. If both goalies play out of their minds this season, we finish 7th in the conference and get beat up in the 1st round anyway. We are seeing this team without Markov for what it truly has: No defense to speak of whatsoever. I could see it from game 1. We outshoot opponents, mainly thanks to our first line, and yet give up more chances than ever. I never thought I'd say this but if we tanked, I'd be ok with, I really would. This team was gutted from last season but Gainey needs to gut the D and start over. Or maybe realize his job has reached its end. It may be time for yet another rebuild, and hopefully this time it isn't half-assed.

On the positive side :

• No problem with the offense. Could have even scored a bit more without a very good Pavelec.
• Best AKost game this season. Let's hope he builds on that.

Apart from that, well, poor defense is what you get when you have 3 good defensemen out.

I'm expecting a callup tomorrow to replace Stewart.

The defensive play of certain players is utterly terrible. They get tremendous chances on offense, but I've seen MAHG squads look better positionally.

i'm not blaming price. i'd like to see him become a more aggressive goalie but he's not to blame. the D is to blame. what can you do? now mara is drifting over to mab's side because he's a dwarf pylon. see goal 5.

the d is just awful...carle's not ready...mab is echl caliber etc
