Hasek began dry land training with Pardubice. He will wear number 09 with the team as he did years ago at the start of his career. His last full season in the Czechoslovak league was in 1989-90 with Dukla Jihlava.

The Hasek return of course meant Pardubice goaltender Jan Lasak had to look elsewhere for work. The current rumour is that with the sudden retirement of Jamie Storr, Lasak will sign with the Düsseldorfer EG Metro Stars.

Will be interesting to see how Hasek does.

About Lasak, I was hoping, he´d do better than DEL, I was thinking he´d go for KHL and if not than at least the NLA.

Strong start for Hasek, a .946 save percentage on 35 shots in his return. Lost in a shootout 2-1 against Zlin.
