Loco Locass Present: le but

We heard 0:41 second last year but it's ready now. The song played on radio today.

They will play the song live at the tale gate party monday.

I don't like it, it sounds botched and it doesn't seem they took too much time to write something decent. Sounds like something a few hooligans could improvise in 2 minutes after a dozen of beers.

The goal is to have a song that the fans can sing in the crowd while drunk

It's ok, I mean I like hearing songs that celebrate us and that give us inspiration. I like the part about hating toronto. I don't however think anything will ever beat the L'oreille song, but that's a goal song. Sounds so sweet when we score. I actually like this year's goal song (my generation?). did simple plan ever release it?

nm. didn't realize it was part of their album. Thought it was exclusive for the habs.

well, they better learn the lyrics before Monday. I have a feeling that if we get the split, it will be OLE being chanted loudly all around the BC. Actually, even if we don't win tonight (which we will).

I hope their song gets better because the 41sec part sounds like a camp song.

Annakin Slayd song was pretty top notch, the bar was set pretty high.

Looking forward to listening the full version, but if it's not better than their sample I won't have the patience to finish it.

Sounds awesome! Hopefully it picks up and the crowd sings it at the Bell Centre. Loco Locass is great.

Happened the same thing to me so I wrote to them. I got that answer :

merci
LL

p.s. Allez Montréal!

And they send me me the song. So it seems like the problem is solved.

Great song, by the way!

I just downloaded the song, a pretty good one IMO. Here are the lyrics. It's very well written, as it's always the case with Loco Locass. If someone wants to translate.... well... good luck!!

Le but (Loco Locass)

Alors, on lace nos patins pis nos casques

Gagner! On va gagner! On va gagner!

On va

Gagner!
Gagner! On va gagner! On va gagner!

Allez Montréal!

Du sang neuf depuis 1909 avec
Jack Laviolette, Lach
Pitre et Pit Lépine en passant par
Newsy Lalonde et Joe Malone
Aurèle et Morenz
Hains, Plante, Gump et le Concombre
Pocket Rocket, Boum Boum, Cournoyer, Coco, Carbo, Casseau, Naslund

Gagner!
Gagner! On va gagner! On va gagner!

Allez Montréal!

Is this a song about the Habs or about the Sovereignty of Quebec?

I realy don't like it... as I don't like all of LL's songs... it always turns out to have a politic tint and it's always in the same direction... the Habs don't need cheap politic slogans to cheer them...

the

sounds so much like a thing we were told when we were kids... winning is not the most important thing, it's participating... sounds so lame

Loco Locass are by far the best french song writers in Quebec. They know history and french more than anybody, and this song is nothing but great, perfect, immortal and totally representative of what Habs means for Quebecers.

Why haters? What you guys want, Star Académie? Céline Dion? Ginette Reno?

By the way, Loco Locass worked that song for YEARS, to find the perfect words and the perfect melody for a crowd to sing. They did it.
