This is a really great trade for Carolina. Wild is robbed.
Is this for real? Owen Nolan would be a sweet pickup, but I dont know if I would be to happy with losing Ruutu. Ruutu was a breath of fresh air when he came over last season, and in the games he has played this season he has been either 1st or 2nd in # of hits on the team. Regardless, JR will do what he needs to.

Umm, no he wouldn't. Not at that price. I'm pretty sure dmonk is referring to a ridiculous proposal someone made on the trades board that was Ruutu for Nolan and a 2nd I believe.

well that is kinda what I was saying, that seems like a bit of an overpayment. I like Nolan though.

I'm still pretty new to hockey as a sport, and especially keeping up with players individually. I can tell by the tone that a lot of the answers in this thread are clearly jokes, but I have no idea how to tell if anyone at all is not joking... =)

So is there more to Ruutu being out than just the groin injury? What has him in the doghouse? Or are you all just leg-pulling entirely?

So wait...Ruutu stole Eaves's shoe collection, and Eaves retaliated by playing a little "Roshambo" (not to be confused with Rochambeau), and that's how Ruutu has the groin injury?

There is no groin injury. He is faking it.

Patrik Elias wasn't the one who carved up Ruutu's eye in his first Carolina game. It was Eaves seeking payback

The reason why Ruutu arrived late to that game was because he was busy stealing Eaves' shoes.

Ruutu can.

He's that good.

And besides, he might injure his groin if he doesn't fake it!

Very solid sarcasm on here. Could easily compete with the sens board.
