Steven Stamkos Signs Tomorrow

i can confirm that Stamkos is flying down to Tampa to make it official Friday.he was just interviewed at the Sarnia Sting Golf Tourney by our local radio CHOK am here in Sarnia.the deal was done a while ago but apparently your team has over the roster number limit & a few players need to be moved.he will make it officially as he puts pen to paper & becomes a member of the Lightning.Congrats to Steven & the Lightning.you're getting one heck of a player,good luck this season.

I'm excited to hear this. Any idea on numbers? I'm guessing it's at least $850k each for 3 years.

is that the rookie max ? then i would say yes . plus all those nice bonuses.

The rookie max is 875,000$, I think. Can't wait to see the Stamkos in action.

so...no signing announcement...maybe they'll trade Stamkos to Florida for Bouwmeester instead.

He has probably signed the contract already. The only thing is Tampa already has the max amount of roster players so they need to make some room before they can officially announce it and have it processed by the league. However, negotiations and paper work are done..

I will also wish him the best of luck in TB. I was wondering about his contract- I'm just disappointed I won't see him in Sarnia this year

Seriously, TB is getting a heck of player and it's going to be fun watching him develop in the big leagues.

Methinks Sarnians will be tuning in by the bunches when TB vs TO comes on the screen
