Alex Bourret for the 90th pick

Found a quote from Maloney about acquiring Bourret for the Rangers..

“Alex is a high level prospect we are very excited about adding to our organization,” said Rangers Vice President of Player Personnel and Assistant General Manager Don Maloney said on the Rangers web site. ” We had him rated very highly at the 2005 draft and had we not traded up to get Marc Staal, he likely would have been our selection.”

Logic suggests Phoenix wouldn't use the 17th pick on a defenseman. The Coyotes' system already is packed with prospects such as Keith Ballard, Matthew Spiller, Joe Callahan and Logan Stephenson.

That, my friends, is why you don't draft for need. That was only three years ago, and now Ballard is gone, Spiller is a bust, Callahan isn't worth anything, and Stephenson has a year left to prove himself. You can never be sure until after the player has made an impact.

We need Sinurgy's expert analysis here. I'm no expert but some of those exercises just looked incredibly dangerous, taking weights and balancing on one leg and making jerky reps. He'll surely be more open to listening to the Coyotes after making the mistake of ignoring NYR's fitness schedule.

There's no arguing deadlifts and exercises of that ilk are best for building mass, but his form on some of those exercises is disastrous. Plus, the one-legged good mornings look like a death sentence. Wasn't the knock that he bulked up too much for hockey as well?
