If I were Scott Howson, my first move would be to go get Mark Hartigan, seeing as he has two cups in a row, sounds like he is on a roll and the next team he plays for may win the whole thing again
Great finish. I was cheering for the Pens, but it was clear that the better team won. Congrats to Detroit, they are a machine, and somehow it just seems right that they are on top again.
Did a little research on whether or not Hartigan will get his name on the Cup. Here are the requirements:

Currently, in order to have one's name inscribed on the Cup, a player must have played at least 41 games for the championship team during the regular season (provided the player remains with the team when they win the Cup) or at least played in one game of the Finals.
Just blink around here and one will miss the ball.... That's good though, not one piece of hockey knowledge goes unanswered, or challenged. As it should be.
It certainly gets old for those of us on the outside jealously hoping that their team can someday compete for, even if but a little piece, the success of the team from Hockeytown. Until then I will continue to sit back, admire in awe and congratulate the Wings and their fans on another remarkable season.
Ok. Now that it's over can we get these pesky Red Wings avatars outta here?
I would have to decide upon my next avi, after basking in the glory of this cup.
I was frantically looking for Stevey Y out there, i mean Scotty Bowman was there, but NBC didn't give me much of an opprutunity. As of now, I'm going to the hall for the 5th time this summer

I'd say you deserve at least a day to enjoy, but then, dump the Wheel Just kidding, barring rule violations (as far as I know) your Av can be anything you want..

The announcers last night said that the team could "petition" to get another player's name included. Does that mean if he meets those requirements, but isn't sitting on the bench they can request he be included?
Wonder what is the process of the "petition".
