It was a joke. Relax.

If it makes you feel better...

Yeah thanks for shi**ing on the place we live (Jaded Fan and ihatewaderedden). I guess it just makes some people feel better to ***** on people they don't know on a public message board. And save your precious time replying to me with some stupid comment like "get over it" or "don't take it so seriously". Where you live and what you do in your spare time is your own responsibility. If you are that stupid that you can't find anything cool to do in Buffalo then it's your own effin fault.
Kudos to LoobFan for going to his meeting late to get his tickets. Nice to know there are other people who don't let work control their lives. I myself work to live not live to work.

WAA!!!

Sounds like he needs some counseling. People have ripped on the Burgh for as long as I can remember including people who live here. It does not bother me in the least. I live 2 1/2 hours away know but I for one am glad I grew up near the Burgh and got to experience some great sports teams over the years. 79 Pirates and 90-92 pirates, Steelers 5 super bowls, and Pens with the cups and more to come.

As far as the nightlife, I never had a problem hooking up with hot women and it always seemed to have a very good ratio in the clubs when I was at that stage of my life. I have been to many other clubs in many big cities and yes their is better but like I said I had a pretty good time back then so I don't know why this guy has to cry about some of our board people giving a few jabs at his city. Grow up and stop the crying.

Excuse me but I don't take orders. As far as stupid comments go your post tops it. You sound like a whiny baby.

You must be a youngster.

I am sure most of the people that live in Buffalo really don't care what other people think and I suggest you do the same. Who really cares what other people say about your city. You can rip on the Burgh all you want, like I said many of our own do so, grow up and get a life.

I know it is sounds cruel but I like to tell people how it is and I don't pull many punches. Sorry mods.

One more thing Sabretoothy if you don't like hearing that kind of stuff don't bother coming to other teams boards because you can expect it.

Your comments amuse me. I love how everyone that states their opinion and makes a comment is a whiner. I am not trying to pick a fight with you, just stating an opinion. I don't know why people have to continually insult people trying to voice their opinion. Our society I guess.
I am a 31 year old woman, am I a "youngster"? I guess you win then since you're older and some older people feel like they are better than us "youngsters". Older and wiser bs I guess.
I was simply pointing out that people that like to rip on other people to make themselves feel better. However you kinda sound like willis mcgahee bit*hing about the clubs. My point is that there are lots of things to do here besides going to sporting events and clubs. (And thanks for clearing up the fact that you hooked up with hot women since everyone that read it will believe you and now think you are now a super hot manly man!) But you are right I suppose, I shouldn't care what other people think about Buffalo but it doesn't make sense to me when people say that there is nothing to do here when there is, that's all. And it is aggravating to see people bashing something you love and it is only natural to try and defend it. If someone started saying how stupid hockey was would you try to defend it? Obviously it doesn't matter but wouldn't you at least wonder why they thought that?
And I am not going to rip on Pittsburgh, why would I? I don't live there.

Yeah, I have nothing against Buffalo whatsoever. I am sure it is nice. (Only been in the area one time, for less than a day. Didn't get to see much.) I wouldn't want to spend the holiday in Buffalo either. Not because I think Buffalo is bad, mainly because I would rather be around family and friends on that holiday.

As for being late to work to get tickets, geez, unless someone is blowing off something that vital, like doctor skipping surgery or some such, I don't think missing 10-15 minutes of something is such a big deal.

thanks td ice for clearing that up and thanks for saying Buffalo is nice
I'd rather spend time with my family too than spend it out of town on a holiday.
Unless it's with my crabby father-in-law that doesn't give a ***** about hockey and b*tches when we can't come over for dinner, last minute all of a sudden because he wants to make up for being such a horrible father to my husband, because we are going to a hockey game or something. Sorry, did I just give too much personal information there?
And unless it's Colorado and I am snowboarding in fluffy white powder.
I have to think about that one.
HA!

HA!

No problem sabretooth.

I have family spread out in various areas, so it is important on those occasions I get a chance to see them, I do so.

I am one of the older guys on this board, at 43. If I was a younger guy, like many on this board, 20 something, or near that, I probably would be super pumped to make that road trip.

I think it is a great thing. Personally, having seen a few football games in unbelievably cold conditions, I said never again. Although, with hockey, and if it was close, (Heinz field, that would be tempting.) Should be a great experience for those attending.

First off I can't recall me saying bad things about Buffalo. I just pointed out that people rip on our city all the time including people from Pittsburgh so who cares about what some Pens fans rip your city. Just from the few comments I have seen of yours sounds likes you have some issues. I live out in the middle of the Allegheny National Forest now and teach in a small town school so believe me there are not many hockey fans up here. I have other people put it down all the time and I could give a crap what they think. It seems like you worry about that stuff wayyyy to much. I might be only 8 years older but much more wiser when it comes to things like this. You must be ticked off a lot if you let people from an opposing teams board bother you. You should expect a little of this kind of stuff when you come here.

As far as the clubs go I was not ripping on Buffalo when I brought that up. I was just talking about how I think the Burgh is not a bad city with the sports teams and half decent clubs but you here people from our city *****in about how bad our city is all the time. The point is you will always have negative people and by 31 you should be able to deal with it a little better.

Living close to the New York border I have been to a few Pens games up in Buffalo and my friends and I have had a good time and the Sabres fans gave us no problems. After those games we always went to Niagra to club it and gamble so I can't say much about your nightlife but I have no gripes with the city.
