That was a SuperLiga game - not an MLS game, although it was between 2 MLS teams. Beckham is the best talent in the MLS - he should be tearing it up, no one claims MLS is on par with the EPL or La Liga or Serie A. It's a second tier league that is VERY young, has gotten better each year and will continue to grow. Eventually as the salary cap rises (and it will) better players will be coming to MLS.

Beckham is the 2nd best thing to happen to the league - after Toronto FC - best name possible by the way. FC is not the team's nickname, it is a description of what it is. The nickname will come from the fans and it, for now, seems to be The Reds or Redcoats - but it will take a few months or years to see what it will end up being.

Landon Donovan?
The guy smells his wrists before every penalty kick. Come on.

Over 640 minutes without a single goal, Toronto FC.

What is wrong with this team?

Half the team is injured. Still, one would hope they could score soon. A shame they got into so much injury trouble, they were doing quite well for awhile.

I think Danny Dichio is a English-born player if I'm not mistaken - I could be wrong though.

It's a shame with this team though - they were on a roll, they looked like world beaters - I mean, they beat Houston Dynamo and crushed FC Dallas, but since then, they've looked awful - and it really is in all part due to injuries. Losing Andy Welsh, Marvel Wynne, Greg Sutton, Dichio and both striker Jeff Cunningham and heart and soul player Ronnie O'Brien has heart hurt. I just hope the fans don't lose their patience. After all, this is only the first year. It's a process.

Wasn't the manager making like 3 trades a week in the early stages of the season? Why'd he slow down when the team is considerably worse? You'd think he'd be making more moves in order to improve the team when it needs it most....

He made some very good trades in the early going.

Injuries hit the squad hard though, and with on so many 'senior international' roster spots available to Mo really doesn't have alot to work with. The lack of a Canadian top-level player (i.e. someone like DeRo) really limits Mo's roster options.

Well they lost to Dallas yesterday.

Again.

Didn't score a goal.

Again.

Winless in 9 (0-6-3)

Goalless in 732 minutes.

And yet, there's Mo, once again:

Quote:
"I thought the guys played very hard. They worked hard for each other, created 11 chances. We should have scored," said Toronto FC head coach Mo Johnston.

"Our guys stuck together and battled hard. The guys are gutted. It's a shame because we should have had something from the game tonight, maybe a point. I don't think Dallas performed very well."
Seriously, the guy's a broken record; he's said pretty much the exact same thing every game for weeks now, always putting FC above their opponent even after a loss. Who's he fooling with that bias? "Yeah, we lost, but we were better than them anyways and we know it..." That's what his comments sound like to me, and it's just laughable.

FC's a joke, and I know I'd find it pretty entertaining if they ran the table without scoring another goal. Gotta be remembered for something!

Out of curiousity, what do you expect from an expansion team?

Only news about FC that I have heard except for the Dichio injury and the shutout streak is that the Argos want to move and play at BMO field.

Make the scoreless streak now 822 minutes, after a 0-0 draw with Real Salt Lake.

Toronto hasn't scored a single goal in over 2 months, a span of over 13 hours of game play

Well they took out Lombardo for Cunningham. I have no idea why Johnston would do that as any coach, hell any casual fan could see that Samuel was stinking it up.

I was at the game and kept telling my buddy Samuel was the worst player ever. TFC dominated the match throughout (moreso in the 1st half when they had 9 shots on goal and several GLORIOUS opportunities) but their finishing was downright embarrassing.

TFC FINALLY scores a goal.......but still lose the game

Winless in 11, and now goalless in only a mere 88 minutes.
