The article is in swedish.

It says that he won't go back to SEL in case of a lockout.
Instead he will stay in Detroit (due to his childen going to school there). Since WHA has a team in Detroit, he says he'd probably would play for them.

Wow, I'm not sure I believe this too much. Why wouldn't he play on that barnstorming tour? I still like to see the WHA get off the ground, but I will be surprised if it does happen.

Lidstrom would probably be the 5 million dollar player for the Gladiators if he joins the team in case of a lockout.

now THAT would bring a little noteriety to the WHA (though who knows how serious he is about this)

The WHA is DEAD. It is toast. It will not start up because there are no solid ownership groups, arena leases, coaching personnel, players, etc...... and it's almost SEPTEMBER!!!! :banghead:

It would be a chink in the armour of the NHLPA to have a member play in a league where there is a salary cap wouldn't it?

We just saw Steve Thomas release a statement via the PA and go on radio to enforce a message that he doesn't believe in any form of a salary cap.
