A few words about the methodology. I actually started this project last summer, when there were 215 total graduates. I entered them all into a database, did numerous breakdowns, and even wrote some of it up. Then the league went on strike and it didn't seem like an appropriate time to put it out.

This year, with the record numbers, the story seemed to be more in the new crop of guys rather than the total, so that's what I focused on instead.

If anyone has any questions about breakdowns that aren't covered in the article, I can probably do them for you without much of a problem, so please ask. I can also tell you how I defined a few things if it isn't obvious.

Nice article, Holly! Hopefully this will help dispel the mistaken belief by some that the ECHL is one step above a beer league. :shakehead
