Yea I hope the Rangers sign Bateman and Big Snake to pro contracts. in the hall 08-05-2004, 09:25 AM Yea I hope the Rangers sign Bateman and Big Snake to pro contracts. of course you do BDubinskyNYR17* 08-05-2004, 09:37 AM of course you do well at least they are young big physical forwards. We dont have many of that. Radek27 08-05-2004, 12:24 PM Yea I hope the Rangers sign Bateman and Big Snake to pro contracts. Why? These are two players no one has really heard of before.......there is probably a reason for that.............they aren't very good????? They are tryouts who have the longest shot at getting on the team or a contract. I can go tryout for the team also.............you want them to sign me?? I don't hit much but I can skate fast :) Stoping can be a problem though. My point is I would rather sign one of the guys we have now IF READY, instead of a big snake. Fletch 08-05-2004, 12:30 PM whose legal name is Big Snake? L.I.RangerFan 08-05-2004, 12:33 PM Why? I have heard of and followed Robin Big Snake for a few years. This is a guy who should be signed. Team first player, who can score and put up points, run through people and stick up for everyone. If he gets signed, he will be a fan favorite almost immediately. Radek27 08-05-2004, 01:08 PM I have heard of and followed Robin Big Snake for a few years. This is a guy who should be signed. Team first player, who can score and put up points, run through people and stick up for everyone. If he gets signed, he will be a fan favorite almost immediately. If he is so good why is he a tryout? Why wasn't he picked up by anyone else? Why wasn't he drafted? I'm sure whatever league you seen him in he looked good, but I am talking about him making the NHL level which is very hard who has never played pro before. L.I.RangerFan 08-05-2004, 01:20 PM If he is so good why is he a tryout? Why wasn't he picked up by anyone else? Why wasn't he drafted? Robin Big Snake played on the same team as Ranger draft picks Ivan Dornic and Brandon Dubinsky in the WHL, Portland Winterhawks. Why wasn't he drafted, I don't know? But why don't you ask other players who haven't been drafted and made it big in the NHL, such as Ed Belfour, Adam Oates, Brian Rafalski, Curtis Joseph, John Madden, Mike Keane and Steve Thomas, why they were not drafted? Does he have a chance to make the NHL, sure. Probably as much of a chance as any draft pick, seeing that all do not make it. Determination means as much as skills and Robin has the determination to make the big leagues. Radek27 08-05-2004, 01:25 PM Well I guess we will just have to wait and see..........I mean I hope he does well we could use as much help and get as many assets as we can, but I am not on the Big Snake bandwagon :( L.I.RangerFan 08-05-2004, 01:38 PM Well I guess we will just have to wait and see..........I mean I hope he does well we could use as much help and get as many assets as we can, but I am not on the Big Snake bandwagon :( Maybe these articles will convert you  http://www.portlandtribune.com/archview.cgi?id=23211 http://www.portlandtribune.com/archview.cgi?id=21883 http://www.seattlethunderbirds.com/newsnotes/1103/112903.htm A player who other teams hate to play against. :handclap: BDubinskyNYR17* 08-05-2004, 01:42 PM Maybe these articles will convert you  http://www.portlandtribune.com/archview.cgi?id=23211 http://www.portlandtribune.com/archview.cgi?id=21883 http://www.seattlethunderbirds.com/newsnotes/1103/112903.htm A player who other teams hate to play against. :handclap: I love Big Snake's attitude. I hope we sign him. :handclap: Big Snake and Dornic play on the same line and got chemistry. Kritty 08-05-2004, 02:53 PM whose legal name is Big Snake? It's good to see that you're so up on the Native cultures in Canada. There are several native players whose names are similar to Big Snake. It's called tradition. Fletch 08-05-2004, 03:10 PM thanks for the lesson, although I truly didn't need nor appreciate one... True Blue 08-05-2004, 03:43 PM thanks for the lesson, although I truly didn't need nor appreciate one... Yes, but now you are FAR more educated Bluenote13 08-05-2004, 03:49 PM It's good to see that you're so up on the Native cultures in Canada. There are several native players whose names are similar to Big Snake. It's called tradition. It's called ' you read his post wrong'. Go back and read it, he didn't say 'whose legal name is Big Snake?' Fletch 08-05-2004, 04:25 PM but you made it far too easy. Yeah, the '?' did not pertain to 'whose' but rather 'How' as in How can you not want a guy WHOSE name is...? RANGERDIEHARD 08-05-2004, 05:47 PM Your like four days too late lol. Just scroll down the front page. LOL - didn't see it. Chief 08-05-2004, 11:40 PM Unless Big Snake really shows major improvement his only role in the NHL will be as a willing fighter. He's no heavyweight but he likes to drop the gloves. If nothing else he'd be a fun guy to have around Hartford - although we did just recently sign Trevor Gillies who can handle the rought stuff. | ||
