HughJass* 08-04-2004, 06:36 PM Ouch, that's a good 100 miles, bro. There has to be something closer...isn't there an ECHL team in Pee Dee (area near Myrtle Beach)? The Fire Antz play in Fayetteville, near where I live. The team plays in a beautiful arena and it's usually a good crowd. Great place to watch a hockey game ;) If still interested, more info on the Fire Antz can be found here: http://www.oursportscentral.com/sports/?t_id=1025 Thunderbird107 08-04-2004, 06:40 PM Ouch, that's a good 100 miles, bro. Great place to watch a hockey game ;) I just assumed CF was closer because thats the one that came up when i typed in Wilmington ice hockey into Google. :+) I'm a little spoiled here in Seattle. Arena is one 30 minute city bus ride from my apartment. $18 second row seats behind the glass. All division rivals within a 6 hour drive (although I don't so sometimes I don't make them all) HughJass* 08-04-2004, 06:44 PM Yes, this is the worst part about NC. Youth hockey is slowly growing so maybe more rinks will pop up over the next few years ;) I kind of have it good because I live close enough to Raleigh & Fayetteville to watch pros play, and I can always go to Fort Bragg to play on their ice rink (when I do have the time...I haven't been in over a year). It'll be a change no matter what. We have Junior A here so they are all 16-20 with bright futures. :+) Do Canes games usually sell it? Im thinking about going on Dec 1st to see my Bruins. Should I plan way ahead? HughJass* 08-05-2004, 05:57 PM Do Canes games usually sell it? Im thinking about going on Dec 1st to see my Bruins. Should I plan way ahead? The past years have been spotty, but I think the Bruins were always one of the teams the crowd might be better for. Alot of us don't care for Thornton... letsgoflyers75 08-11-2004, 11:09 PM I'd go ECHL before SPHL. There's Charlotte, South Carolina (Charleston), Columbia, and Pee Dee all in that area. HughJass* 08-13-2004, 07:24 PM Yeah, but no team would even be remotely close but Pee Dee ;) letsgoflyers75 08-14-2004, 12:27 AM Ehh... I'm not familiar with the area... :dunno: HughJass* 08-14-2004, 07:35 PM Area near Florence, SC....closer towards Myrtle Beach. | ||
