The lists been updated. I'll make a thread with each teams rosters closer to the start of the season.

That's two players who played briefly for Washington last season who are making their way to Britain this season with Angelstad moving to Belfast.

Looks like Nottingham is going with an eastern europe touch adding Jan Krulis, Jan Magdosko, Roman Tvdron and Konstantin Kalmikov. I'm not very familiar at all with the league in the U.K, if anyone can give me updates on how Kalmikov is doing in Britain it would be much appreciated.

How about movement of Brits in leagues abroad?

NCAA Goaltender (and British-born) Jon Horrell, played for the Findlay Oilers last season. Findlay dropped their hockey program at the end of the 2003-04 season. Horrell has since been picked up by Bowling Green and will be playing for the Falcons beginning this fall, backing up starter Jordan Sigalet.

Talking of Brits overseas Colin Shields has signed an amateur try out contract with the AHL Cleveland Barons and is currently taking place in their pre-season games. Goalie Stephen Murphy has moved to Swedish team Bräcke IK-Polar Bears.

In addition, Bracknell's Canadian Campbell is being released and will probably sign with the Hannover Indians. That'll help them immensely!

I'm going to un-stick this now that I've created the Elite League thread, and I'll start a British National League thread over the weekend as well, and stick them.

Yes, it's in the 'NHLers in Western Europe' stickied thread, and there's a link to the story there.

If i am honest i would say hopefully he won't come back to Britain, at least not until he has tried it in the pro leagues in NA, (ECHL,UHL) because i really can't see him improving if he comes back to Britain, i think he needs to get into an ECHL squad, and really set the league alight, and hope for an AHL call, if it doesn't happen in the next couple of years or it really isn't working then yep, fine come back to Britain, but i think he has the potential to play in the AHL...

Agree 100%. Also if you read intervieew's with Colin he does seem much more at home in the US, it makes sense for him to stay in North America. I hope he doesn't have to drop to the UHL or similar level though, the ECHL would be the best fit.

Steve McKenna has joined Nottingham.

Lol, I think the standard of british ice hockey just dropped dramatically. The Nichol signing is a good one for London, he's gritty and has some speed if I remember correctly.

Is the Elite league going to be a scrappers league this season? There was talk of Dale Purinton joining London aswell. Im guessing Dale is not as he and Eric dont really get along :)

Where is Joe Watkins?

I saw Bakersfield Condors are dominating the ECHL but he's not there any more.

I don't know. The last I heard he was cut from the Colorado Eagles, who play in the Central Hockey League. That was about a month ago, and I haven't heard anything since.

Watkins has been playing in Holland for Amsterdam Bulldogs.
