[AUT/GER] More Austrian than German in the NHL !!

:yo: :yo: yeah, after the sign of lakos we have more NHL players than the german. i mean NATIVE austrian. because kolzig and butenschön are not native german !!

and trade rumors say, that tratting also have signend a contract yesterday !!

I just enjoy the fact, that the quality of austrian players is recognized in the NHL. But don't forget, that signing a contract with an NHL team is no guarantee to actually play in the big league...

Don't be too sure...Ehrhoff and Goc have roster spots waitin for them next year.

Mhm, Butenschön is a native German. Kölzig...well, if Heatley is Canadian than Kölzig is German.

Divis, Brandner, Pöck, Lakos and maybe Trattnig with contracts compared to Sturm, Hecht, Seidenberg, Ehrhoff, Goc plus Butenschön, Kölzig, Pätzold and Schubert.
If you count players who aren't on the roster yet (like Lakos and Trattnig) or play in the AHL (like Brandner) you have to count Germans in the same situation as well.


It's nice to see more and more players from smaller hockey nations (like Austria, Germany, etc.) succeed, now there have to be some Superstars from these countries, maybe Vanek and Gawlik can reach this status :yo:

I would certainly hope Goc does since Damphousse and Ricci look like they're both gone.

referring to quality players like Sturm, Goc, Seidenberg, Ehrhoff or Kölzig easily outplay the austrians. perhaps there are more austrian players in NA next season but they cannot reach the potential of the top german players.(except Vanek)
