I'm not sure if they aren't related somehow, but they are not brothers. Based on their bios they were born just 9 months appart, and in different cities. That'd have to be some tough momma!

I'm not sure about this one, but isn't Petr Nedved's brother named Jaroslav? Because he played for HPK Hämeenlinna some years ago and I remember that being mentioned.

I have never heard mention of the two being related in any way shape or form, but I can assure you they aren't brothers. Pavel was born and raised in the small town of Cheb, just outside of Prague (http://pavelnedved11.altervista.org/home/pavel_nedved_story.htm) while Petr Nedved was born a year earlier in the northern Czech city of Liberec (http://www.sports-king.com/player.php?sport=NHL&pid=44).

In the former bio, Pavel's bio, it also makes mention of an older sister, his parents, his wife and his children, but nothing of a relation to the Czech hockey star.

The two were born approximately nine months apart (Petr: Dec. 9, 1971; Pavel: August 30, 1972), however I would almost guarentee they aren't related as they have slightly different last names. In Pavel's case, there is a hacek on the second "e" and his name is pronounced "Ned-vied" while in Petr's case there is no such hacek and the name is pronounced the more common way of "Ned-ved."

Both names are quite common in the Czech Republic, and I have no reason to believe the two are related but various indications they are not.

No waaay they are brothers.

I remember watching an interview with Pavel when he was bought by Juventus 3 years ago, and they asked him what other sports he played.

Pavel said, "Hockey is big in the Czech Republic, but I couldn't play because the equipment was too expensive for my parents," or something to that effect.

No, Petr's Nedved also has the hacek.

It is a little known fact that Pavel Nedved is actually Danial Alfreddson's brother.

Just messing with you. But they sure do have the same haircut.

Speaking of hair, remember that hair pull against Denmark I think it was?

And everytime I heard the TV say 'Nedved' my head quickly turned only to be reminded it was soccer. I noticed something weird though

Datsyuk + Nedved = Pavel Nedved
Torres + Pisani = Fernando Torres
Smyth + Horcoff = Ryan Horcoff

Ok last one is more like a bad soccer player who'd be playing for the Vancouver Whitecaps or sometihng but Fernando Torres had me thinking something was going on

I am pretty sure that Petr's brother's name is Zdenek Nedved and he used to be in the Leafs organization.

According to this site, Petr indeed has a brother named Jaroslav (dman) whom he very briefly played with in Sparta Prague at the beginning of the 97/98 season.
