*CBJ must have traded the 4r pick to Carolina who moved it to Flames.

Yeah, I'm not 100% sure how the compensation system works, but perhaps we didn't get penalized for signing Brown/Rassmusen because both were group II free agents who weren't qualified by their original clubs. Whereas Larionov was a group III free agent, which cost us from getting a pick for Nieuwendyk.

Not many picks, but hopefully Conte and company can pull out two or three future NHLers.
