Let me put out this disclaimer -- I don't think NJ would do this, but I'm curious if it could be worked out, and wanted some input, so bear with me.
Jaroslav Spacek for Collin White?
I know something would be needed from the CBJ to even it out, but what? Or is this just impossible?
From CBJ perspective, Spacek is their only expendable player with any value. They have several similar players though and could use a White-type guy.
He's a late bloomer, but has good PP and offensive ability. Last season was marred by a few nagging injuries, but otherwise, he's been the CBJ's best dman the last few years (for what that is worth).
From NJ perspective, well, like I said, I'm not sure NJ would do it. I know White is inconsistent, but NJ seems low on his type of player as well. Spacek could be an affordable repalcement for Nieder (assuming he is gone), not that anyone could ever completely replace him.
Could this be a base for something? I'd like to hear your take.
