With no #2 pick, I have no po.preference, a F or a D just has to make the team,in due time.
I wouldn't be shocked to see LL trade the #1 for two, #2's. sort of the reverse of what he did to get Gomez,if they feel stongly about a couple of guys in the 35-50 range.

If you were referring to the 2nd round, we don't have a pick. I think you may be right about Lou trading down with our 1st to get 2 #2s though.
I just hope they don't take a goalie at 22

I think a trade down is a definite possibilty, depending on who is around come the #22 pick. Green and Lyamin are two on that list who I hope are around when New Jersey picks.

Lyamin should be there at 22 for sure, from what I've seen. One of the two will be. I doubt Green is.

As far as solid defensemen go, let's not forget about Chris Zarb. He has a good sized frame at 6'4". Although he only weighs about 180 pounds, he should be able to bulk up to 200 in the next couple of years. He isn't the traditional Devils' defenseman in that he has better balance than most of the guys on the current Devils roster. What I mean by that is he isn't a great puck mover with little physical presence nor is he a physical / stay-at-home defensemen with no offensive skills. He has the potential to be both which I think makes him a special player. His + / - was strong, and he led his team to the best regular season record in the USHL. I think he would be a steal in the third or fourth round.
