How did he do in the OHL this year? Do you look for him to be dropping the gloves in Albany next year or possibly even with the Devils?
Thanks

Thanks He played well for Guelph adding them that rough tough do anything for your team attitude. I feel one year in Albany should be enough so he is ready to play 4th line for NJ. He needs to improve his skating a bit more. Johnny 06-18-2004, 05:31 PM Cam is regarded by many as the top fighter in the O. He was a welcome addition to OHL champs the Guelp Storm, for his strong physical presence as well as good character that he brought to the team...If he's in the A next year, I'd look for him to take on all comers. Johnny 06-18-2004, 05:55 PM Lets hope he's progressed from his last training camp when he was photographed holding onto a Flyers players leg after being beaten in a fight. Not a pretty sight at all. Any idea on who the Flyer was? I dont know how much he's progressed, I just know he's highly regarded as a fighter in the O from reading many of the various fight sites over the net... However, even if he has progressed, he will still likely take his share of beating's in the A, they are inevitable for a young player looking to take on the role of enforcer in professional hockey. Jason MacIsaac 06-18-2004, 07:06 PM Vandameer who now plays for Chicago. You must remember he was still just a kid fighting a grown man. He bulked up alot more and keeps on taking more boxing lessons so I think he will be ok. Johnny 06-18-2004, 07:57 PM Vandameer who now plays for Chicago. Yes, Vandemeer is a respectable fighter at the NHL level..no shame in that loss, expecially considering Cam had yet to graduate from Junior. Thanks In Albany, but not the Devils this season... paxtang 06-19-2004, 03:32 AM http://ohltoughguys.com/index.php?to=toptwelve_overall OHL tough guys has Cam ranked first overrall for fighters in the O this year. Pretty much all I've read has him up at the top in the OHL, but then again, the WHL and Q are better leagues for fighters these days. He also doesn't really have ideal size for an NHL enforcer. He's definetly willing, but you'll have to see how able he is against much bigger competition in the AHL. There was some Cam clips floating around the fight sites, but most of the cleaned house in the offseason and I couldn't find any to post on here. Losing against Vandermeer is no big deal, and the picture was kind of misleading. Vandy got a few shots in, and then Cam fell and tried to get a take down on Vandy (thus the picture of him grabbing his legs) but that didn't work and he get a fed a few from up top. I'm definetly looking forward to seeing this kid play against the Flyers in the future, he should add some excitement to those games. DevilFisch 06-19-2004, 02:02 PM I didn't know there was even a list for the top OHL tough guys. (Bill Kinkel's at #12!) This is sort of a tangent, but is Rob Skrlac is still with the River Rats/Devils organization? If he is, should we expect Skrlac mold Janssen into a wrecking machine who will score a goal in the NHL 8 years down the line? Skrlac is signed for one more season. c-carp 06-19-2004, 03:00 PM Thanks for all of the Info on Cam guys he is a local kid and I hope he is the 1st from the STL area to make it to the NHL. | ||
