I know the trainer for Rock Hard Ten. Even though he lost I hope he gave Smarty an "******* you" when he got ahead. Would've been great.

Rock Hard Ten didn't even want to race. They had to blindfold it to get it into the blocks.

Why all the hate for Smartie? Pretty amazing story that the horse came back from the dead if you ask me.

Wow, a hockey fan glad to see a niche sport denied a moment in the sun. Sad really.

Anyone who bets on a horse with only 4 career starts in the belmont has a serious hole in their head, and as for Purge, well Purge was nothing more than a joke. Anyone who knew anything knew the only reason he was given hype was because Smarty needed a rival, and since Purge wasnt part of the preakness domination, he was the only choice for the media. And dont say but he won the peter pan stakes, because thats like saying the echl champs could compete in the nhl.

I was watching a special on A&E (might've been another station, my memory escapes me) and they talked about Smarty's jump into the top of the starting gate before a race and played it off as a suicide attempt.

It was hilarious.

After watching the Belmont Stakes and his subsequent loss, I only hope they've got him on suicide watch.

I hope a lot of people lost money on that one.

Actaully a lot of people would have lost money even if he won because the odds were 1-5. For every 5 dollars you bet on him, you would have gotten 1 back.

Anyone who knows just a little about horse racing knows that at such a distance, 9 out of 10 times a closer wins the race because he leaves enough juice in the tank, Smarty led too early, he was setting the pace too early.
