Who gets the better end of this trade?:

Team 1 Gets:
Tim Hudson
Rich Harden
Jaque Jones
Ramon Ortiz

Team 2 Gets:
Albert Pujols
Bobby Crosby

NOTE: The KEEPER league is one where PITCHERS ARE THE KEY! :help: me out!

I'd take Pujols every time.

What are your scoring categories? It'd have to be heavily in favor of pitching for Hudson to be worth more. If you are the Hudson owner, do you have pitching depth?

Easily team 1.....Pujols is the best player (non-pitcher) in the game today but Hudson is a top 10 pitcher and Harden is a future Ace ...

I envy Oakland for their pitchers....Mulder,Hudson,Zito and Harden? All 4 of them would be number 1's or 2's on any team.

It really depends on the type of league you are in and how much pitching / batting depth you have. In a Yahoo league I grab that with both hands and run because it also opens two roster spots. When talking about players of the calibre of Pujols and Hudson, the rest of the players become pretty irrelevant. Harden is only really valuable in a keeper league. Best player in the deal is undoubtedly Pujols.

Team 1 hands down.

As good as Pujols is, there is simply too much talent going the other way.

In Boston none of them would be top 2, and Harden isnt no 1 or 2 on pretty much any team.

Looks like Im in the minority here :) Im curious though why the poll says 3 - if you look at who has voted it shows 4 posters. Anyway even if its a keeper league I'd still go for Pujols unless Im stacked in batting not to care. Pujols is young too so you should get years of outstanding day-in day-out performances whereas pitching is a lot more volatile. Its easy to find pitching help cheap off the waiver wire (Lowe, Loiaiza, Glavine in recent years) but you'll never find a Pujols there. (BTW I am top in both my leagues following this strategy).
