Zidane guarantees victory over EnglandATG 06-01-2004, 04:28 PM http://www.canoe.ca/NewsStand/TorontoSun/Sports/2004/06/01/481134.html He sure has a pair of brass one's.This will really motivate the English DutchLeafsfan 06-01-2004, 04:36 PM I sure hope for his sake that he is a little more succesful than Daniel Alfredsson :D The Flash 06-01-2004, 05:36 PM I sure hope for his sake that he is a little more succesful than Daniel Alfredsson :D Alffie was successful his first time. Then he just got carried away. And now we are talking about the French. They are the superior team with and Zidane is one of the top 5 players in the world. Can Alffie even make the claim of being top 20? :dunno: ATG 06-01-2004, 06:08 PM Alffie was successful his first time. Then he just got carried away. And now we are talking about the French. ParisSaintGermain 06-01-2004, 07:01 PM I don't want to sound rude against Canadian medias but this supposed interview from Zidane which featured as well on TSN has been taken from the Daily Star which is one of the least credible source in news from UK. This newspapers is so bad that he can't even be considered a tabloid. Out of 50 pages, you got 40 pages of bikinis :amazed:, 2 of astrology and 8 pages of fake football rumours based on what your best mate said to the journalist in the pub the night before. If ever Zidane really said that, the whole UK medias would be all over it. And there is no trace of this interview in the BBC, Sky sports etc... And lets face it, Zidane isn't the type of guy who would make this type of declaration. TVanek26* 06-01-2004, 07:45 PM What is he going to say? We're not going to win? ATG 06-01-2004, 08:15 PM What is he going to say? We're not going to win? Well he could say the usual "It will be a good game and we will try our best bit".But predicting a win and the score is a little arrogant. If it's a quote from Zidane I don't know how they can falsify it.Wouldn't the paper be sued? The Flash 06-01-2004, 08:56 PM True, but was Senegal Top 20 in anything? And... what is your point??? ATG 06-01-2004, 10:21 PM And... what is your point??? Thta any team on any given day can beat another one especially with the talent that england has The Flash 06-01-2004, 10:26 PM Thta any team on any given day can beat another one especially with the talent that england has Sure that can happen, but I am curious why you said Senegal? Evilo 06-01-2004, 10:58 PM I'm very surprised to see Zidane making such a comment. He's a low profile guy. More surprising is that no other media, even in France talks about it. Make me think exactly like PSG. The Flash 06-02-2004, 12:17 AM If your given location (South Korea) is accurate, you should remember World Cup 2002. Lol... it is. But Zidane didn't play that game against Senegal. That is why I was curious. But yeah... the place was nuts. Opening game of the tourney, Senegal upsets the defending Champs. The country was rockin and so were the girls for that matter. :joker: Naoned 06-02-2004, 01:56 AM I don't want to sound rude against Canadian medias but this supposed interview from Zidane which featured as well on TSN has been taken from the Daily Star which is one of the least credible source in news from UK. I've never heard of Zidane making that kind of comments during his whole carreer. Why would he start now when the team still has to recover his dinity after 2002?
