Cardiff have made three moves towards their team next season.

Firstly Coach Dave Whistle will be returning for another season behind the bench for Cardiff. The good news is his family will be moving to Wales as well which makes a more lengthy spell in charge possible.

Whistle's first signing is Jason Ruff, who was last season captain of the Belfast Giants. Ruff also played for Belfast in 2001/02, when he was coached by Dave Whistle. Ruff had a team high 35 goals for Belfast last season.

The last bit of news for now is another player, the second added by Cardiff in two days. He was also a captain in last season's Elite League, David Matsos who joins Cardiff from Bracknell. Matsos, a left winger like Ruff, also played under Whistle during the 2001/02 season. Matsos scored 22 points in 32 games last season.

Small correction...

Matsos wasn't in the Elite League last year. He was in the 2nd-tier British National League with Bracknell.
