I didn't pick Urlacher because I didn't feel like looking for players,I just feel Urlacher can become a dominant Linebacker for the Bears. And picking Tom Brady wouldn't be so bad.2 Super Bowls in 3 years what's not to like?

And why Oakland's defense is so good, they picked exactly 2 offensive skill positions,QB and TE....with 1 OT.

Why would you pick someone that could become a dominant linebacker, instead of a player that's already proven to be one?

We'll see in the end how it all turns out though.

FlyersHomer DM03
07-19-2004, 10:55 PM
There isn't that much left in terms of players.Urlacher looks to be a potential great so I took him.As we get into the double digit rounds expect a lot more current players taken.

some current players are worth taking...but come on I've got a week in between picks, I do my research and make two picks in a row...there are some great steals out there which will most likely make it to me next round. I nabbed Cris Carter in like round 8

Two offensive tackles. Slater & Dierdorf.

That was done for a reason. More very good RB's and WR's ... much better depth there than in other positions.

You made the right choice at this time. If we had this draft in 5 years then an issue could be made for T.O., but right now T. Brown is the better choice. Tim Brown is 3rd all-time in receiving and averages 13.8 yds throughout his career, so that's not too shabby.
