I'd just like to say that I am first and foremost a Wings fan, and I am not a particular fan of the Lightning but I respect the majority of their players and I respect their game. The style they play is exciting, albeit a sizeable portion of that due to the large amount of talent on the team, but I recognize that a lot of it has been developed. One of the few teams, well into the minority, that don't drop to certain levels to win games.
With that being said, I would just like to say that if you ever get frustrated (which, undoubtedly you will) with the kind of hockey that is dominating hockey these days, and especially the playoffs, you are not alone. Just know that if your team does match the effort of their SCF opponents, and you still don't win it all, you deserved to. So much of hockey these days is dominated by a players size and grit, rather than their skill and talent. I have faith that the Lightning will accomplish their goal in winning the cup, however, with the current state of hockey, the better teams doesn't always win. I wouldn't say that the Lightning deserved to win it if they don't match the intensity of the Flames, but I have no doubt that they will. Let me reiterate once again, if you match these teams intensity, work ethic, energy-whatever you want to call it-and you still don't win, you deserved to. Its the state of hockey today that will prevent your success if anything.
I'm sorry if I offended anyone in this statement. I don't mean to be a troll, but watching merely the first 10 minutes of this series has had me in a state of disgust over what this league has come to. :dunno:
..Go Bolts...
