I believe the first training camp he ever presided over came a day or two after 9/11 but he had already been coach of the Lightning for the last half of the season prior to that after Ludzik was canned.

I didn't catch this part but what would be so classless? I mean if he picked up the job on September 11, the day that our lifes changed, what would be so wrong?

Because it's wrong. It seems like ESPN needed something to fill up some space and they knew that most people wouldn't know. If ESPN just got some wrong information then that wouldn't surprise me though.

Yup, they were using a tragedy in order to make up some melodramatic story, and that's wrong.

I believe they were doing the fitness testing or something on that day, I remember reading about it in the paper. It was Torts' first training camp, not his first day on the job.
