Fedorov/FedorovTOGLIATTI 05-20-2004, 09:57 PM Fedor Fedorov is now a free agent, should the Ducks get him? Kevin Forbes 05-20-2004, 10:03 PM Fedor is a Group II Restricted Free Agent the only way Anaheim gets him is if Vancouver and Anaheim trade for him or if he isn't given a qualifying offer by Vancouver and is therefore made an Unrestricted Free Agent. Would Anaheim be interested? probably. Sergei has mentioned he would like to play with his brother and that Fedor is mis-used in Vancouver....BUT the same words were said when Steve Kariya played for Vancouver and nothing came of that. Fedor does have great talent, and I think that given the chance he could become a good player. He has never really been given the chance in Vancouver. And being on the same team with Sergei would really help him. McDonald19 05-20-2004, 10:23 PM slim chance that Vancouver doesn't qualify young Feds...but if it happens Murray will sign him in my opinion... That would allow Bryzgalov to come up. cyrisweb 05-20-2004, 11:48 PM He has never really been given the chance in Vancouver. And being on the same team with Sergei would really help him. Erm yes he has.. he has been given oodles of chances.. in fact the only reason he's been given so many chances is because of his last name. Most other players would not have been given as many second chances and 3rd chances and 4th chances. He does have some serious talent, but he also has some serious flaws in his game. Currentely it seems the biggest problem with Fedor is his desire. He likes to go out and party and drink with his buddies rather than go to practice and work on his defensive game. That probably is something that his older brother could kick his ass and work some sence in his head. On a team with nothing to loose.. ie a team not in the playoff picture Fedor would probably be playing full time. If you want to talk trades though I'd rather start with Rob Neidermyer. S.S. Giggy 05-21-2004, 12:06 AM I don't think that would be in Murray's plans. sparkplug 05-21-2004, 12:59 AM Go ahead, take him. Vancouver wouldn't give him away for nothing but you're definetly not going to have to overpay to get him. He's had his fair share of chances. Counter offer: We give you Niclas Havelid for him, and we swap #44s. chris_dub 05-21-2004, 03:01 AM Then people would have to get their jerseys changed: S. Fedorov #91 Randall Graves* 05-21-2004, 03:52 AM Paul Kariya......Steve Kariya Eric Lindros......Brett Lindros Sergei Fedorov........................Fedor Fedorov usually one works out really well, the other does not I know Fed said he had talked to BM about getting his brother here but it's unlikely. cheesymc 05-21-2004, 05:09 AM I think it would be fun to watch at least... i guarantee we would be intringued in preseason... I wouldnt mind Fedor as a 13-14 forward on the team. Wayne Gretzky...........Brent Gretzky is one too, but that's not always the case. If Brett would've avoided concussions, he could've been good. Steve's doing well in the AHL as well. There's also Pavel and Valeri Bure. You can probably ask them about their time in Florida, and they probably liked it quite a bit. And there's Rob and Scott Niedermayer, who really enjoyed the WCs, playing on the same team. | ||
