I didn't think Stafford was your boy? OH, you mean trading Poti? :)..Damn wouldn't that be sweet to get rid of that prancing, poke-checking, petunia-picking, purse swinging, *****-cat, Poti?

That bit on Satfford seems to be totally lifted from what Brooks reported a few days ago...I like Stafford, but not with the #6 pick...

Until I see Porta get traded, I will not believe it. Still don't. As for Stafford, come on now. Like him or not, there are FAR better players to pick at # 6. It would be a disaster to pick him at #6 becuase his uncle had Oiler connections.

I agree. Actually, I'm leaning towards Thelen IF we don't trade up for Olesz or Ladd is not available. I'm off the Schremp bandwagon, unless we can trade for him in the teens.

Suffice it to say that I have seen more than my share of all manners of hockey (international to college to minors). I have seen a good amount of prospects play. I have not seen then ALL play. Have you? However, between what I have seen and what I have read and what I have "heard" from various insiders, I can make a pretty good educated guess. Like you, I can sit here and type that I have seen every game that Falarduea has played. No one really knows if it is the truth or if you are just talking out of your a$$. But we tend to believe in good faith around here.
If you are commenting becuase you believe that Stafford is a worthy pick at # 6, I have to question if you really believe that or if you are just trying to start arguments. I lean towards the latter. Picking him at #6 is sheer folly.

i never said i saw falardeu play every game. i said i saw him play 6 or 7 times and came away more than impressed by what i saw. from what i read stafford is a mid first round pick. i think its more likely will not use there 6th pick on stafford but may use the toronto pick on him or entertain the thoughts of trading up from 24 for him. i wouldn't dismiss the kid because sather has a connection with his uncle and father. only a shortsighted person that gives sather no credit for rebuilding a barren farm system would do that.

You know Radulov and Thelen were my original choices, so we are in half agreement!.But I truly think the Rangers will pick a Ladd, Stafford or Tukonen before either or those two...And I won't be devasted......Personally, though I wouldn't pick Stafford at #6, no way do I think it's a folly picking him there..The kid has a big upside and could be a PF just like Ladd...

Guess there's a lot of people around here that are short-sighted. Good thing we have your far-seeing vision to guide us.

My theory is that the Rangers have three holes to fill in the organization - #1 center, #1 LW and a top pair d-man. Thelen would definitely fill the latter.

I don't see how it's not a folly when the majority of people (including me) consider him a third liner at best. I would attempt to strangle Sather myself if he takes Stafford at #6.

Please tell me who this "majority of people" is...It's one thing to have an opinion but it's another thing to make things up to bolster your arguement...Honestly, I have heard some comments that he will only be a 3rd liner but I have also heard the comments that he will be a major NHL power Forward..Pick and choose what you want...And from what I've read of the latest rankings------REd Line at #7, McKeen's at #12, CSS at #7 NA skater, YoungGuns at #5---this kid is held in unifromly high regard around the scouting circles...Again, he's not my pick at #6, but it isn't out of the question..

There are a few guys I'd like to read a little bit about, including Radulov since I've seen his name around here a lot lately, can someone link me to where they have info? I looked on this site but nothing was up on the guys I was looking for, unless there's somewhere else I didn't look.
