No surprise there. Way to go, Mo.

Congratulations Freddy. We miss you in Toronto even though your only play with us was a slapshot off the glass. You've really developed into a force and developing talent is not something Toronto does much anyway.

At what could very well be Modin's most glorious moments as a hockey player, there will always be those who smile and pat him on the back and then slice and dice with their tongues of surgical steel.

I'm the last one to say that a player should be free of criticism of his game, but right now with the way Freddie is playing and the accolades he is accumulating this season... enough. If you've got negativism or baggage to unload, go crawl back your Leaf board and vomit all you want.

I'm running out of grace (and I imagine there are a few others around here) for you and your kind.

What in the hell is this!!!! I was talking in jest about what Modin used to do in Toronto, more as a shot against the Leafs than Freddy. We had no patience with him and look at what he's become. A terrific player. I have never been so upset at my keyboard and the reason being i think the guy has been incredible. Wax poetic for someone that deserves it, strike my post from the boards if its that offensive but i did not mean it as a slight to Freddy. ..... My kind, that is just ridiculous, completely and utterly ridiculous.

I took it as a compliment, but like Ex, most of us have been conditioned over the last few years by Leaf fans telling us Modin was nothing, a fluke, a joke, can't skate, can't hit, can't hit the ocean if he's standing on the beach, one-dimensional.... So, when a Leafs fan mentions Modin, like Pavlov dogs, we anger.

No harm done. Great comments.

If Mo were still in Toronto and played like he did this year, he'd be a Selke finalist.

If Modin was in TO right now WE may be playing you guys instead of Philly. Ponikarovsky reminds me some of Modin in his younger days, so little direction for young players in Toronto. Very similar in that he does not shoot much but when he does its high off the glass. Perhaps we can send Poni to TB for a year or two and you guys can send him back with a complete game. I really do like Freddy and i would take him back in a minute- would go great with Mats.

My apologies for my over-reaction, which stems from the long history that O39 described. May I suggest the use of emoticons in the future? ;)

Doubt it. You'd probably be playing someone in the EC finals, but it probably wouldn't be the TBL. Modin is as much of a reason for this team's success as Khabibulin, St. Louis, Richards, Stillman, and Lecavalier. Take Modin off our Top 6 and we got a huge hole.

Again... my apologies...

Accepted. Business as usual.
