Top 10 Goalies

Who would you consider to be the top 10 goalies in the OHL? Are there any in the "O" that might become respectable NHL goalies?

I can't help but not notice that the list of former OHL goalies playing in the NHL is not exactly strong:

Robert Esche
Brent Johnson
Jamie Storr
Dan Cloutier
Kevin Weekes
(& some other notables)

And 3 of those played for the pathetic Owen Sound franchise so there you go.

1) Patrick Ehelechner
2) Paulo Colaiacovo (graduated)
3) David Shantz
4) Justin Peters

It's pretty much a crapshoot after that.... Dan LaCosta is a guy not in the top 4 that looks like a good NHL prospect, but hasn't played much yet.

Lacosta or Gerard Coleman should fill the other top 4 spot next year with Cola's absence.

What are Guard's chances?

Sounds right to me.

Lacosta or Gerard Coleman should fill the other top 4 spot next year with Cola's absence.


Coleman has no shot unless he improves vastly. Shantz is for real, Danny Taylor of Guelph may develop his skills since he's just a kid.

he's in the West, not OHL ... but he's a sleeper, and in my opinion he has greatly improved since last year. I know he had awesome stats last year, but he looks more sharp this year ... but he's 20 already

Andrew Raycroft has just achieved his first complete season, you can't compare him with them yet... Don't you remember Jim Carrey?
