What would it take from the Devils organization to take Rob Niedermayer off your hands?
Rob Niedermayer?SatanSoldier 05-09-2004, 05:02 PM What would it take from the Devils organization to take Rob Niedermayer off your hands? amonte11 05-09-2004, 05:17 PM Niedermayer is old and near the end of his career, so I would think that if you packed Guolla with a pick/prospect that would be a good trade. Maybe even Anaheim throughing in a later pick or future considerations. Classic Devil 05-09-2004, 05:33 PM You're kidding right? Guolla is going to Germany, but if that's all you want, deal done. Hockeyfan02 05-09-2004, 05:52 PM You're kidding right? Guolla is going to Germany, but if that's all you want, deal done. That isnt a Ducks fan and it would take more than that to get Niedermayer out of Anaheim. cyrisweb 05-09-2004, 06:04 PM Niedermayer is old and near the end of his career, old?? 29 years old is old?? end of his career??? he's got at least 5-7 years left.. lux_interior 05-09-2004, 06:39 PM "Take him off your hands"? We want him on our hands. While healthy, he was one of the Ducks best forwards last year. Why would we want to trade him? Kevin Forbes 05-09-2004, 06:43 PM keep in mind that Niedermayer is one of the only players who has size and top 6 ability on Anaheim. I can't see Niedermayer going without some way to replace him up front. That being said, his injuries and his previous underachievments may keep his trade value low. He would of been a 20 goal scorer this year for just the second time in his career if not for injuries... Kevin Forbes 05-09-2004, 07:30 PM depends on the prospect... personally Marek Chvatal is a guy that looks good, with a quick glance amonte11 05-09-2004, 07:48 PM My bad, I thought Rob was older than that. And I didn't realize that Guolla was leaving, not a big follower of either club. But knowing that, I don't think Anaheim would be so willing to trade a top forward that has good years still in front of him go for someone like Kozlov. He's more likly to be around for a while. McDonald19 05-09-2004, 09:34 PM Niedermayer is old and near the end of his career, so I would think that if you packed Guolla with a pick/prospect that would be a good trade. Maybe even Anaheim throughing in a later pick or future considerations. he is in the prime of his career and the last year and a half has perhaps shown why he was a top 5 pick. He is an extremely important second line player for this team, I dont see him being moved unless it were for a highlevel defensive prospect. McDonald19 05-09-2004, 09:35 PM Would you swap Viktor Kozlov and a prospect for him? no real interest in Kozlov anymore...prefer a really good young d-man for Nieds...but would rather just keep Rob really... McDonald19 05-09-2004, 09:37 PM What would it take from the Devils organization to take Rob Niedermayer off your hands? How about trading Scott here and we will have the Nieds brothers here instead of in Jersey. :) Classic Devil 05-09-2004, 09:50 PM How about trading Scott here and we will have the Nieds brothers here instead of in Jersey. :) :joker: :lol No. :p: ;) S.S. Giggy 05-10-2004, 01:00 AM No. Anything's possible man! Maybe even Anaheim throughing in a later pick or future considerations. You gotta be kidding me, he's 28 and was just a dominant force when he was healthy. I highly doubt Bryan Murray is looking to deal one of his few front of the net guys who nobody can knock off the puck. Aside from that he and Fedorov had some chemistry going and Rob also had a great tourney at the WC. He's going to be a 20 goal scorer next year health permitting. SatanSoldier 05-10-2004, 02:10 AM How about trading Scott here and we will have the Nieds brothers here instead of in Jersey. :) Haha...yeah, ooookay! You want Marty too? Pwnasaurus 05-10-2004, 08:45 AM You have to worry about signing Scott first. Jerky Leclerc 05-10-2004, 09:21 AM A lot of teams were asking for Carney and Nieds at the trade deadline. If Bryan Murray didn't trade Nieds then, I highly doubt he would give him away for nothing now considering R. Nieds had a strong showing at the World Championship. I'm really hoping Babcock made an impression on S. Nieds and with the new CBA, maybe he would consider coming to Anaheim. cheesymc 05-10-2004, 12:11 PM haha, man that was funny, Rob at the end of his career....LMAO I think I would trade him for someone more like Langenbrunner... S.S. Giggy 05-10-2004, 06:33 PM Serious, now, Dudes! You're NOT getting'em period! Bobby Ryan Getzlaf 05-10-2004, 10:51 PM I also hope S.Niedermayer likes Babcock's style of hockey as opposed to the NJ assistants'. I may be alone on this one, but I would do nearly anything to get him on this team. Hopefully he doesn't want to drink Lou's kool-aid anymore. ;) Jon 05-11-2004, 12:23 AM How about Madden straight up for Rob? S.S. Giggy 05-11-2004, 12:51 AM How about Madden straight up for Rob? Uh... How about no! Sorry for being so negative. fez 05-11-2004, 05:30 AM Haha...yeah, ooookay! You want Marty too? No thanks, too much baggage there. Pwnasaurus 05-11-2004, 09:38 AM You gotta worry about signing Madden first. 5 mil for your checking forward chief. | ||
