Rob Niedermayer?

What would it take from the Devils organization to take Rob Niedermayer off your hands?

Niedermayer is old and near the end of his career, so I would think that if you packed Guolla with a pick/prospect that would be a good trade. Maybe even Anaheim throughing in a later pick or future considerations.

That isnt a Ducks fan and it would take more than that to get Niedermayer out of Anaheim.

old?? 29 years old is old?? end of his career??? he's got at least 5-7 years left..

"Take him off your hands"? We want him on our hands. While healthy, he was one of the Ducks best forwards last year. Why would we want to trade him?

keep in mind that Niedermayer is one of the only players who has size and top 6 ability on Anaheim.
I can't see Niedermayer going without some way to replace him up front.

That being said, his injuries and his previous underachievments may keep his trade value low. He would of been a 20 goal scorer this year for just the second time in his career if not for injuries...

My bad, I thought Rob was older than that. And I didn't realize that Guolla was leaving, not a big follower of either club. But knowing that, I don't think Anaheim would be so willing to trade a top forward that has good years still in front of him go for someone like Kozlov. He's more likly to be around for a while.

he is in the prime of his career and the last year and a half has perhaps shown why he was a top 5 pick. He is an extremely important second line player for this team, I dont see him being moved unless it were for a highlevel defensive prospect.

no real interest in Kozlov anymore...prefer a really good young d-man for Nieds...but would rather just keep Rob really...

You gotta be kidding me, he's 28 and was just a dominant force when he was healthy.

I highly doubt Bryan Murray is looking to deal one of his few front of the net guys who nobody can knock off the puck. Aside from that he and Fedorov had some chemistry going and Rob also had a great tourney at the WC.

He's going to be a 20 goal scorer next year health permitting.

You have to worry about signing Scott first.

A lot of teams were asking for Carney and Nieds at the trade deadline. If Bryan Murray didn't trade Nieds then, I highly doubt he would give him away for nothing now considering R. Nieds had a strong showing at the World Championship.

I'm really hoping Babcock made an impression on S. Nieds and with the new CBA, maybe he would consider coming to Anaheim.
