I haven't had a chance to see Ottawa play much this year, so perhaps you folks can enlighten me. What styles do the following players use? And what do you think NHL potential is?

Bryan Bickell, LW.
Kyle Wharton, D.
Peter Tsimikalis, C.

Is there any other talent in the '04 NHL Entry Draft that you think could make it as a pro?

Again, thanks in advance!

I didn't see as many games this year as I would have liked, but I got a fairly good look at all three

Bickell- Inconsistency plagued season, some nights he was the dominating force teams look for in a powerfoward, and other nights he was a no show. I love him when he is on his game. He has a heavy shot, good speed, good hands, and loves to mix it. Probably late first, early second round pick.

Tsimikalis- Good two-way player but lacks the speed to make it in the NHL. Had ok offensive numbers but I can't see him making the NHL as a regular.

Wharton- A fluid tw-way defencman, Wharton should go around the 3rd round. I have never been a huge fan because he is prone to defensive lapses. He does have good passing, and offensive skills.

One guy you missed that is definetly worth a look in the later rounds is Mark Mancari. He is a defenceman turned forward and played much of the year with Locke. He is big, strong, has good speed for his size and plays with grit. He was passed over last year but should go this time around. I really hope the Sens take him because he will be a great 4th liner someday.
