Wow, Group F is stacked. Denmark will at least be happy they won't get relegated but they sure are gonna have to withstand the possible barrage of goals in this round.

So, who at the IIHF got ******** from the Czechs and Canadians to make those groups?

The two things that tilted the balance were Team USA crawling in mud last year and Germany finishing sixth one spot ahead of Russia.

So points carry over?

How many teams go on to the next round?

quarterfinal = 4 games, 8 teams
the ones you see marked red up in the first post Tuggy, are the ones currently on a playoff spot.

The two things that tilted the balance were Team USA crawling in mud last year and Germany finishing sixth one spot ahead of Russia.

with at least two of austria, switzerland, latvia and germany advancing to the quarterfinals, the balance will be loopsided next year again. but honestly those four teams deserve this. they fought hard.
