Probably because in the playoffs, being overconfident (read "cocky") about our team ain't a bad thing. ;)

I guess I shouldn't be a hypocrite as I thought the Caps would win last year (didn't think they would steam-roll though, that is going a bit far lol). However, the refs in that series were :loony: oh well that is in the past now.

I thought playing in the SE division inflated your winning percentage. Tunnel vision caused me just to see TB, the expansion team. Good Luck the rest of the way! :)

Unfortunately, your pre-series perception, I'm afraid, is one the entire League seems to share, including the suits in Bristol, CT and Toronto. And that's really sad. If anyone cared to actually WATCH the games the Bolts played this season, they'd see that's not the case.... but I'm sick and tired of trying to change a perception that's so deep-rooted that it'll take a Stanley Cup win to dispel it.

Maybe you've heard this already, but if anything, playing in the Atlantic or Northeast divisions would have inflated our winning percentage even more, because we beat up on them a lot more than we did the Southeast, especially in the Atlantic, where we swept THREE of the teams there!
