As much as I'd like Denmark to win I have a bad feeling about this one.

woho, with less than a minute to go in the first period Denmark ties it.
Ronny "MVP in Denmark this season" Larsen with the goal.

Kim Staal on the PP, tie game 3-3.

Beautiful play at the blueline by Damgaard to keep it in, Staal is quick to capitalize on the Japanese confusion.

Wonderful own goal by Japan.

Oh jeeeeeeeeeez

that shorthanded breakaway by Nordby should have been a penalty shot. He was a step or two in front of the defenders, and they hook him down, 6-7 meters from the net. WTF!?

A WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN

Japan hit the post with about 0,1 seconds to go. Captain Damgaard took a cross-checking penalty with about 30 seconds to go - after the ref missed a blatant hooking/tripping penalty on the same Damgaard.

Denmark remains in the A group for another year. OK, EA sports, get off your backsides, and include Denmark in next year's game.

Islanders prospect Franz Nielsen (who's heading to the States after the tourney) was constantly on the ice for the last few minutes, taking key face-offs.

Click on the one that says: Sugawarův vlastní gól poslal Japonsko do boje o záchranu
(27. 4. 2004 / WMV 2,7 MB / 29 sec.)

It's at about 16 seconds. There's a great slow motion replay...watch as the guy actually celebrates until he realizes what he's done. That is one of the most hilarious hockey moments that I've EVER seen.
