He's playing for the French team... he was born in Vancouver, raised in France.

His professional team is Bern (Switzerland).

good for him. bordy was always a fan favorite here in nashville, though never more than a marginal NHLer.

Bordeleau looked like he was going to be a good NHL defensive forward until he had a pretty nasty injury. I can't remember what the injury was (neck? spinal cord?), but he was never the same after that. At least the French have another exNHLer..they needed one after Bozon got too old.

He broke his neck and was never the same. I really thought he'd be a good hockey player before the injury

Bordeleau was the best player in the Swiss playoffs this season. He scored the most goals.
