Pavel Bure??NYRBlaznBure9 04-14-2004, 08:59 PM Has anyone seen or heard of any information on Pavel Bure. I know its unlikely of a return, but I neverheard anyting different. Anyone with any information?? :dunno: deathbear 04-14-2004, 09:44 PM its been crazy quiet on the bure front. dont know why though. you'd think him either getting better worse or the staying the same would draw some attention. i havent heard anything, but i keep coming back to this board just to see if any of you have heard anything. :P rickyrod 04-14-2004, 09:58 PM don't expect it, this was if he does come back it'll just be a nice surprise. maxfischer1313 04-14-2004, 10:31 PM What dont you get? His game was BREAKAWAY SPEED, it's not 1994 and he's not the Russian Rocket. Just like Lindros WILL NEVER be the same, his game is playing physical and using his size which OBVIOUSLY he cant do anymore. Yes he can but this isn't possible b/c if he does play that game then his head will be even more mush than it is now. I think everyone would LOVE to see these two both healthy and playing their styles but sadly both will never be the same, even if they do it will always be one shift away from yet another blown out knee or concussion. Sad but very true. Rangers_23 04-14-2004, 10:37 PM What dont you get? His game was BREAKAWAY SPEED, it's not 1994 and he's not the Russian Rocket. Ever heard of it? :shakehead maxfischer1313 04-14-2004, 10:53 PM There is this new concept in New York called rebuilding. R-E-B-U-I-L-D-I-N-G. Ever heard of it? :shakehead And whats your point? P-O-I-N-T? Before another useless post you might actually let a thought run around that head of yours and realize I'm responding to this but very informative. Or yet another troll? http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=70875 Rangers_23 04-14-2004, 11:21 PM Why didn't you place your reply in that thread then, smart guy? And yes, I'm trolling my favorite teams board. :shakehead Look it's obvious to everyone here that Bure and Lindros will never be the same. It's not like you are breaking some big story here, sorry if I came off a little rude, I just get sick of seeing people question the status of Lindros and Bure. None of us really know what there status is, but I doubt anyone here is expecting them to carry us to the cup next year either. Rangers_23 04-14-2004, 11:23 PM I personally think he's done. It would be amazing if he ever returned to form, or even half the player he was. I could see someone out west taking a chance on him if he comes back. :dunno: deathbear 04-14-2004, 11:33 PM max, please. just...*shudder* stop. what people forget is that bure at 20 per cent is still better in an offensive role than 80-90 per cent of everyone else. the last season he played, he scored 19 goals in 39 games. he played while hurt, may i remind you. he his a goal scoring machine and probably would be until he was 90 if he remained healthy. but alas, he is not. a terrible shame, he truly was the most exciting athlete in SPORTS to watch. to me anyway... maxfischer1313 04-15-2004, 12:10 AM Why didn't you place your reply in that thread then, smart guy? "I just get sick of seeing people question the status of Lindros and Bure" I'm in the same position which is what I tried to explain to whomever had the original post, SORRY BUT ANY RANGER FAN WHO WANTS EITHER OF THESE TWO BACK EVEN IF ITS FOR THE MINIMUM SALARY IS A HAMMERHEAD! The risk isnt there play any more w/ this org. but the risk is constantly having or going after these players with HUGE question marks. Would think at least the fans would realize that. Bure is not coming back, end of story. ddheyman 04-15-2004, 01:30 PM WELL MAYBE RATHER THAN YELLING AT EVERYONE WITHOUT ANSWERING THE QUESTION, WE SHOULD CONSIDER THAT RATHER THAN WANTING THEM BACK THEY JUST WANTED TO KNOW THEIR (bure and lindros being implied) STATUS????? Maybe (now that I'm done yelling at the screen - sorry for the caps), they are concerned that if Bure comes back he is owed $10 MM and that will count against the cap???? Maybe they want to know if he has officially retired??? Maybe they want to know if he has undergone additional surgery and wanted to send him a get well card??? Maybe they wanted to know if he is going to come back and teach Lundmark how to put a puck in the net (sorry for the dig, but my god the kid can't hit the broad side of a barn)? Maybe we shouldn't start yelling and screaming if someone asks a simple question like "does anyone know what Bure's status is?" As horrible (note the sarcasm) as that simple question may be. Every once in a while in would be nice if people tried responding with a modicum of respect ... 28 04-15-2004, 02:53 PM WELL MAYBE RATHER THAN YELLING AT EVERYONE WITHOUT ANSWERING THE QUESTION, WE SHOULD CONSIDER THAT RATHER THAN WANTING THEM BACK THEY JUST WANTED TO KNOW THEIR (bure and lindros being implied) STATUS????? Imagine that. Too many know-it-all's around, that's the problem. Too many chiefs telling everyone how and what to post. If you don't like it, or find the topic tiresome, don't click on the thread. ddheyman 04-15-2004, 04:55 PM Imagine that. Too many know-it-all's around, that's the problem.
