Is Thomas McCollum eligible for the 2010 U20 world championship?

His birthday is December 7(age 19), and the tournament starts in late December, so I am presuming that USA will have a new goalie tandem replacing McCollum and Josh Unice.

Are Brandon Maxwell and Joe Cannata candidates for the goaltender position?

Thomas McCollum is thankfully no longer eligible. He's born in '89 and you must be born in '90 or younger.

There were 4 goalies invited to the USA Camp over the summer and they were: Mike Lee, Jack Campbell, Brandon Maxwell, and Connor Knapp.

Coach Dean Blais basically said Lee and Campbell will be the goalies without actually coming out and saying it directly. Knapp was injured during camp and Maxwell was awful.

You'd find better discussion on this topic in the Prospects forum. Here's a thread we had going during that time:

Yeah, it looks like Lee and Campbell will be the tandem, although Maxwell has played well so far for Kitchener.

Yea, Maxwell is definitely making things interesting. Might depend on how Campbell plays this weekend at 4 nations to give him the boost. Still think it ends up being Lee and Campbell though.
