Good for Duba and all, but I'm surprised they would consider him a rookie.

Oh yes, you do have a few talented guys. So, in my opinion, Duba is 1 or 2 years away from NHL but I do not think anyone beats Fleury on that spot. Is there a chance he would be a backup? Or he could get traded?

No, Fleury will probobly be in the System for years, as for Duba, I think it could happen.
But thats great news about duba, we do have great talent coming up!

I think the blueprint the Pens are going to go by is, first and foremost, develop Fleury into the bonafide starter. Then develop all the other guys into young backups with the potential to start, and begin trading them off for assets. Caron and Chiodo first, then Duba, Goepfert, etc.

they aren't going to get a whole heck of a lot for those guys, but it should still be a nice model to follow. San Jose got a 2nd rounder for Kiprusoff.

And it was pretty good trade for both teams.

I do not think Duba is coming to N.A. unless there is a realistic chance he makes it into the NHL. In Extraleague he has sure no.1 goalie position wherever he plays and he should be a starter for Sparta the season after this one.

I was surprised too. In Finland there was a same kind of situation few years ago, because Aki Berg (who left to NHL at 18 with less than 15 games played in SM-liiga)
returned after contract dispute. He was considered rookie after playing three seasons in NHL. However, he didn't won the award, as HPK triple Timo Pärssinen, Jukka Hentunen and Pasi Nurminen were considered better.

Maybe they should change the rule with "x games in any top league.
